Andrew Cuomo (D) to resign after New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) said an investigation showed he sexually harassed and inappropriately touched multiple women.
Pelosi said in a statement:
Under Attorney General Letitia James, a comprehensive and independent investigation into the allegations against Governor Cuomo has been completed.
As always, I commend the women who came forward to speak their truth.
Recognizing his love of New York and the respect for the office he holds, I call upon the Governor to resign.
Pelosi’s statement made her the most powerful Democrat member of Congress to call for him to step down or be impeached. Earlier in the day, a string of progressive lawmakers, local politicians, and pundits called for his resignation or for him to be impeached if he did not resign. Some also called for Cuomo’s brother, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, to resign.
Republicans are also calling for Cuomo to resign.
Hours after the news broke, President Joe Biden said at a press briefing that he maintained his earlier position that if the allegations against Cuomo were substantiated, he should step down. “Yes,” he said, when asked if he was calling on Cuomo to resign.
However, he stopped short of calling for him to be impeached and removed from office.
“Let’s take one thing at a time here. I think he should resign,” he said.

Nancy is a low down snake. That must mean Cuomo is even lower than a snake!
Make sense. Get the Party past this scandal as quickly as possible.
One suspects that the only reason that the Dems are throwing Mister Cuomo into the (metaphorical) wood chipper is that the nursing home death scandal is likely 1,000 x a bigger deal (and resonates with the American peeps 10,000 x more than sex harassment charges).
Stay put mobster Cuomo; go after stretch face and teach her a lesson.

Cuomo should stay put. These are only allegations. There is no blue dress. Bill Clinton beat the rap and there was evidence!
That is certainly a case of the pot calling the kettle black! This evil old witch should resign and move to another country. She’s already done quite enough damage to this one.
Cuomo is a total megalomaniac who always had ambitions for the White House.
He has nothing to lose at this point—I expect him to double down on offense...
The history of the Clintons will give him just enough hope to keep going...
But, what he does not realize is that he will be taking on the Deep State, and they are even more ruthless than he is.
