JACKSON, Miss. — Dr. Anthony Fauci says Mississippians who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 might want to keep wearing a mask.
The nation's top infectious disease specialist made the suggestion because the state's vaccination rate is the lowest in the nation.

Not correct. Small droplets are kept in or out with electrostatic effect. Particles stick too, but only N-95 have any efficacy with particles.
. I’m not wearing a mask for someone who willingly chooses to not get the vaccine.
I'm not wearing a mask either because I believe I now have a low chance of getting and spreading it (my antibody test was positive).
At this point, most everyone who will get the vaccine has gotten it. Time to let it all go. The spread is now controlled and can no longer tax the limits of the healthcare system.
And Fauci, well...he needs to be fired a long time ago.

This is bizarro world! I took the vaccine. But if I need a mask to help me - and I’ve refused to wear them since COVID started - then what in the HELL was the vaccine for? Masks have NEVER done squat, but even if they did, WHY WOULD YOU WEAR ONE IF VACCINATED?!

Electrostatic effects are variable with the materials used in making the masks and the electrostatic protective effects diminish as the masks themselves get wet with moisture from breathing, dampening any electrostatic protective advantages. Droplets themselves will dry on the masks and parts may flake off and get past the mask fiber “holes”. N95 masks will let viral particles smaller than its fiber openings thru at varying amounts due to venturi effects of air currents pushing particles in and out faster than the electrostatic effects of the fibers can repel them. The electrostatic properties of fibers can’t overcome water droplets and vaper as the fibers get saturated. The only sure barriers are n100’s and completely isolative barrier suits with protected air supplies. The n100’s are only as good as their seals.
