Tax evasion is illegal. Avoidance is not. Unreported income (evasion), if high enough, can land one in jail. If this is about not paying payroll taxes on benefits than at worst it’s a misinterpretation of tax laws but no “crime”. Benefits, including stock options, are not payroll and if they were considered as such later by a tax court then it is just a civil issue and the taxes would be paid along with penalties and interest. No evasion and no criminality here and certainly not against Trump personally. This will disappear in weeks if not sooner.
