Dog comms
Secret service put him down.
I have to slow down when reading headlines. I missed the name Champ and thought Kamala Harris croaked.
No, Biden is the SNIFFER!
Oh brother, how maudlin.
Gorgeous dogs.
So sorry this lovely German Shepherd died. But he lived a long life.
Jane Long, that is an interesting question.
Wouldn’t it have been fascinating to be a fly on the wall, watching the door open and Hunter walking in with Champ laying on the floor with his head resting on his front legs. (My parents had a German Shepherd, and you could see her in just that pose, her head motionless, but with the whites under each eye showing, her eyes would follow conversation and motion without her head moving. It seemed to me a very classic German Shepherd thing, though many other dogs do it too.
Let’s assume Champ is a full grown German Shepherd and has never seen Hunter Biden before. Champ’s reaction could be positive, negative, or neutral. German Shepherds are indeed pretty smart for dogs in my experience, and very tuned into humans.
A dog would probably calculate pretty quick about a Hunter Biden walking in quick. Granted, it might be non-committal if everyone else is happy and friendly.
But what if, as Hunter walks in, and his eyes begin darting around taking things in. As I reference in the anecdote below, dogs are astute observers of Humans, particularly their eyes. I bet they would remember people with shifty eyes and form a dog-judgement pretty quickly.
I have sometimes heard that animals like dogs and horses can sense an innate good or bad about a person, and I don’t know that it is true, but...I’ll bet dogs can tell. I am certain there are a lot of Freepers who have real experience in that aspect, and I do feel that it is true, even more so in dogs.
Dogs have been with us longer than any domesticated animal (I think) and most dogs are keen observers of humans. Dogs occupy an interesting place in human existence.
I read a study a while back where they had people wear special glasses that could track the movements of their eyes precisely, and they found that when two people encounter each other, both eyes of each person simultaneously scan one eye of the other person (I think they said the left eye)
It happens so quickly that we don’t know we do it, and it isn’t noticeable, but the instruments picked it up.
They ended up testing a bunch of other animals of all sizes, and they only found one other creature that does that exact same thing: You guessed it...dogs.
Additionally, they found that dogs are cued into humans in ways no other animal is. They did an experiment where they would put a treat under an upturned bucket, and have a little shell game with two identical, empty upturned buckets.
A human would gesture towards the bucket with the treat, and try to get the animal to go to it and get the invisible treat by overturning the bucket. They tried it with chimps, birds, cats, etc.
None of them would take the cue of the human pointing to the bucket with the treat under it. Except for dogs.
They took a little puppy, and the puppy picked it up immediately when the person pointed at it, literally on the first try.
Further, the person didn’t even have to point, they could simply look. More remarkable, they didn’t even have to linger with the look. They could just flash their eyes for a split second at the bucket with the treat, and the puppy would go unerringly to it.
Dogs have lived around humans so long that they are tuned into us, emotionally and physically. So they are a little bit different than other animals in this respect.
RIP Champ.
Give Buddy our best.
RIP Champ.
Give Buddy our best.
I’m sorry to hear that honestly
It’s like when I see a happy dog on the side of the road with a beggar drunk doper psycho holding a gimme something sign
Poor dog doesn’t know better
My dogs hit the lottery
Just buried my 16 yo boxer/mutt on Thursday
I can’t bash anyone who lost a pet, even if the owner is a lying piece of schitt
But that poor dog has seen some stuff in his life in the basement that no animal should ever have to witness
It’s terrible to think that they would put the dog down to, distract from Biden’s joke of a G7 summit.
But, I think they would.
These people......
[I can’t bash anyone who lost a pet]
Yeah, same here. Sorry for your loss.
I look at my boy’s pic on my other phone every day.
;^)
Biden moving in to sniff Champ's fur.
Gee, I wonder how the unborn babies died while this animal is getting fawned over: put to sleep
Champ is what Biden’s grandfather called Sliw Joe, I believe.

The Dog aside,
Morse Code aficionados know
if you add a single DOT it turns a chAmp into a chUmp.
Now we have a president who really can't tell the difference.
At least Biden can pull his pet's tail now without falling over.
Or so one hopes.
Are his other dogs named Fido and Spot?
Nope... Sniff and Grope

Good one.
