Sen. Rand Paul is weighing in on the increasingly crowded GOP Senate primary field in Ohio in the 2022 race to succeed retiring Republican Sen. Rob Portman.
Fox News has learned that the two-term, libertarian-minded senator from Kentucky and 2016 Republican presidential contender is endorsing Cleveland businessman and 2018 Ohio Republican Senate candidate Mike Gibbons.
"Mike Gibbons is a liberty minded, fiscal and constitutional conservative who will stand up for our Bill of Rights and to stop our endless wars. Mike will fight the radical liberal policies being pushed by the Biden Administration by championing smaller, limited government principles in D.C.," Paul highlighted in an endorsement statement.
Gibbons, an entrepreneur, real estate developer and investment banker, declared his candidacy for the Senate a month ago. "I'm a businessman, not a politician. I'm blunt, plain-spoken, and I tell it like it is," Gibbons emphasized in his campaign launch video shared nationally first with Fox News.
Gibbons said he was "honored to have the endorsement of Sen. Paul as I look to bring a true conservative voice to Washington. I plan to fight for Ohio values and push back against Democrats' out-of-touch agenda."

and Paul has become a crucial figure in fighting the Alinsky Left.
Lets see who the GOP endorses, and who President Trump endorses.
This will be a test for President Trump, who has sometimes on bad advice supported closet RINO candidates he is later sorry for.
Yeah the Trump endorsement is the most coveted but Rand’s from KY might carry some weight
Exactly.. Sounds good!
What happens if Trump endorses someone else?
So we will have an RNC candidate, Rand Paul candidate, and Trump candidate...
This is how the RINOs divide and conquer.
Hopefully they co-ordinate but I have no idea what will happen...
Just pick whoever John Kasich does not support.
Neither POTUS Trump nor Paul are RINO.
The RNC candidate is Jane Timken, a wealthy heir to the Timken fortune who supported John Kasich even though she says she didn’t. The other candidate is Josh Mandel, a perennial candidate for whatever office is open. He has some conservative history and is better known than Gibbons, who is unknown. Right now Timken has the fundraising advantage.
I swear, it’s like every poster on this blog is nothing more than a GOPee puffer and perennial sucker. Wake up, fer crissakes! Rand Paul is a hypocrite and a prevaricator cross-dressing as a libertarian. Rand Paul voted for The Big Steal just like all of the other quisling traitors in the GOPee! He hopes people, like you, will forget that. Eff Rand Paul! GOPee Delenda Est!
Too fat. Too white. those things count.
Josh Mandel is true MAGA. My son in Ohio just loves the guy.
When he was in statewide office, he forced the state of Ohio to put it’s entire checkbook online.
LOL
Rand Paul is a mixed bag. Several times he has been the point man for MAGA policies, several times he has defeated them. I’m not holding a brief for him but his votes and stances are too complex to reduce to RINO unless you use a “litmus” test and ignore all the parts that don’t fit.
Here’s my litmus test. If you had any part of The Big Steal then you’re too utterly stupid, stubbornly thick headed, or maliciuosly evil to ever hold elected office. That litmus test disqualifies damn near every effing member of the GOPee. GOPee Delenda Est!
I submit that is a statement composed of frustration which I share but as a stance for moving forward it is not productive.
The only way forward from the electoral catastrophe of the fraudulent election of 2020 is state-by-state nullification, non-compliance, and secession from the illegitimate tyrannical junta in DC we now suffer under. Anything that advances that goal is worth doing. Anything that doesn’t pursue that goal is a waste of time. GOPee Delenda Est!
OHIO PING!
Please let me know if you want on or off the Ohio Ping list.

I like Jim Jordan. He’d have to be drafted, though.
