The race to replace California’s disastrously unpopular governor, Democrat Gavin Newsom, saw a surprising challenger rise to the top: Tulsi Gabbard.
The former Hawaiian congresswoman hasn’t yet thrown her hat into the ring, but nearly 30,000 people responded to an OAN poll proving Gabbard with over 60 percent of the vote was by far the people’s favorite.
In the Twitter survey Gabbard handily beat second place challenger Caitlyn Jenner by nearly 40 percentage points. Candidate John Cox trailed a distant third with just 10 percent of the vote and GOP pick Kevil Faulconer came in dead last with barely 5 percent of the vote.

Many accuse Sanders of being a sell out and too much of a loyalist to keep committee positions etc.

This is a good way of looking at things. She would certainly shake things up.
And as you say, that’s good news.
Wonder what percentage knew who she was or in this case wasn’t.
She would be an improvement for CA.
She’s a lefty — a Sanders person — but she’s at least willing to listen and have a discussion, which is more than I can say for Gruesome.
Why would she leave Hawaii to live on the mainland?

She doesn’t tow their line every time. Don’t like her on guns, but otherwise she is decent.
Californian and conservative Travis Allen should run again.
But is she diverting from them because she wants to look more acceptable to our side, because like Bloomberg, he rode in as Mayor as a Republican candidate because he knew after Rudy, no Democrat was electable, yet he'd been a Democrat his whole life. Once he got in office, he kept the R behind his name until it wasn't advantageous for him anymore. He even got the Democrat-controlled NY City Council to extend his term limits, after they wouldn't allow Rudy to remain in office long enough to see the aftermath of 9/11 through. I believe Gabbard tried to cash-in on Trump's success and popularity by distancing herself from the Democrats so she wouldn't look like the socialist that she really is.

The "jungle" primary is the procedure where all candidates from every party except for two Democrats are eliminated. Those two then run in a final election, before installing whichever one the Bay Area Democrat Machine chooses.
