But how many people did his gun control answer kill?
It can be - and often is. But, over the last 100-years, Congress has enacted a surprising amount of legislation that cedes authority to the president to do things that they should have been doing themselves. One of the ways the Executives asserts that ceded authority is through Executive Order.
Congress should be passing better statutes that protects their constitutional authority and independence. But, that’s not what the lobbyists want, so here we are.
