One anonymous House Democrat said Monday that he or she fears a backlash from House Republicans over Democrats’ move to impeach President Donald Trump.
As House Democrats move toward impeaching President Donald Trump over his alleged incitement of Trump supporters to protest the certification of the 2020 presidential election, one anonymous House Democrat fears that Republicans may weaponize impeachment against soon-to-be President Joe Biden. Politico‘s report follows as some pro-Trump Republicans continue to consider using impeachment as a way to get revenge against Biden.

How are they going to impeach anyone with a minority in congress and fifty senators? Pelosi won’t even allow it to be introduced but votes to censure anyone who tries will probably pass.

What they are doing is all about intimidation and revenge. There might be a half a handful of (D)’s in the middle of their ranks that feel uncomfortable with their ambitions. But not many. Not enough. Their leadership, and their juniors want blood. They’re going for the throat.
They stole the election and they know it. There’s no valor, enjoyment, or satisfaction in stealing anything. The liberals I know aren’t acting like they accomplished or won a thing. It’s like they got caught skipping school. Except that most libs education is limited to 14the Century French Art and Women’s Studies. The Dem blather yesterday was of investigating Trump administration people after Biden sits on the throne. Not just the tit-for-tat game of impeachment, but the banana republic method of hounding people after they leave office. That, of course, is soon followed by executing the former regime. They would love nothing better than finishing off the Trumpanovs.
When spring of 2022 arrives...the primaries start. There’s little doubt that the Republicans will benefit from the events of 2021, and retake the House. I would also suggest that a dozen or more GOP senators will be primaried out of existence, and replaced by pro-Trump types. By November of 2022...I expect 55 Republicans will be sitting in the Senate..
So a new impeachment cycle will start, and it’ll involve way beyond Biden/Harris, and probably reach down into the Justice Department, FBI, and CIA. 2023 will one of the most interesting years ever.

All this Democrat talk of a Capitol Hill insurrection is nonsense on stilts, talk intended as an excuse to eliminate the political opposition, much as the Nazis used a genuine arson attack by 4 Dutch communists as an excuse to reshape the German state to give themselves absolute power. The hysterical, overwrought and Orwellian language employed by the media and the Democrats is something that Republicans must push back against, lest they be relegated to the role that the opposition was under Hitler’s rule. GOP elected officials must rally their partisans and change their tone. The Democrats aren’t satisfied with stealing a single election - they want to steal an entire country out from under us, the way the Nazis hijacked the German state for their purposes. They must not be allowed to succeed in this endeavor.

The Republicans lost a lot of their base, ousting President Trump. I wouldn’t count the chickens before they hatch.

Pepsionice is smoking hopium if he thinks many Republican incumbents survive their primary election. The Republican base wants blood. If they betrayed patriotic Americans I myself will not vote for an incumbent Republican in the general election. If there is a valid candidate from a new third party they will get my vote.
The GOP do to simply Trump taking a lot of these down the ticket GOP types over the finish line in November now setup essentially a chip in put do to redistricting alone to take back the house...but it’s the Republican Party the way they snatch defeat from the jaws of victory is legendary

Yeah. God forbid Republicans weaponize the impeachment process. That privilege is supposed to be reserved for Democrats only.
