Trump considered bringing in the National Guard to protect his OWN supporters in case other people 'got in their way' and wanted to march to the Capitol with them, advisers claim

President Donald Trump considered deploying the National Guard to hold off would be anti-Trump counter protesters, according to advisers familiar with the matter.

Trump is said to have expressed interest beforehand in calling the National Guard to Wednesday's demonstration and eventual assault on the Capitol to protect his own people, the New York Times reports...

In addition to calling the National Guard for his supporters, Trump is said to have also told advisers in the days leading up to the march that he wanted to join his supporters at the Capitol.

White House officials advised against the move, however.

Trump wanted the guard there. That was discouraged by 'officials'. Over at the Capitol, Police Chief Sund, who has resigned in protest, also wanted the guard there. He was also discouraged, over 5 times, from multiple directions, and now, he's naming names.

Why were Trump and Sund both advised not to call the NG?

Police Chief accuses House Senate Officials

According to Politico, the immediate spin put in motion by the MSM was Pence-as-President, pushing the claim that Trump sat by and did nothing....CNN, NBC, The New York Times and others all reported that it was Pence, not Trump, who spoke to the Pentagon and called up the Guard. Even as Mark Short later acknowledged for Politico that there had already been a call for the NG and Pence basically just added his voice to the urgency.

Trump spoke until about 15 minutes after 1pm. Sund recalls "The first wave of MAGA supporters arrived at the Capitol at 12.40pm.

'As soon as they hit the fence line, the fight was on. Violent confrontations from the start. They came with riot helmets, gas masks, shields, pepper spray, fireworks, climbing gear – climbing gear! – explosives, metal pipes, baseball bats. I have never seen anything like it in 30 years of events in Washington,' Sund recalled.

'I realized at 1pm things aren’t going well. I’m watching my people get slammed,' he said... by 1.09pm the situation grew dire "

Trump had not yet finished speaking. So far, noone attending the rally itself has described seeing people in the Trump crowd carrying bats, fireworks or 'climbing gear'.

Decoding the symbols and groups

None of the above groups are Trump Deplorables. If the FBI 'visited' extremist groups prior to Jan 6, why wasn't the FBI on scene, from early morning, nabbing them as they arrived?

Maybe they wanted it to happen. The domestic terrorism bill was shut down in the Senate last year, what a perfect time to orchestrate something to pass it now.

And why not look at the way people exercising their First Amendment rights in Charlottesville were treated

Look at the way cities were trash burned and looted by BLM and antifa and Democrat stormtroopers

Look at the way the events of last week were manipulated by the Democrats and the tech companies

I don’t blame him one bit for trying to protect his people

Hey DM... if there weren’t violent Antifa pukes at the Capitol there wouldn’t be a reason for President Trump to even consider protecting his supporters as you claim.

As has been the practice, they blame Trump for not doing what someone else should have. Trump cannot order the national guard into a state or territory. It must be requested by the governor, or in this case, the mayor who acts as the governor, Muriel Bowser. A president cannot order the national guard into anything without the determination of insurrection. This was a case of breaking and entering. No one was harmed by the effort and the damage done was minimal in comparison to the actions in the states like Seattle, Portland, or a lot of places. And Trump didn’t send them in there either. He can’t......Constitution.

I was there.

I was at the flash point within two minutes of the start of it.

It was very non-violent at first.

As for "explosives" there were a few, five to ten, I think, of what appeared to be commercial grade fireworks thrown at the police, about 20 minutes after the event started.

I suspected those to be from an Antifa type, because that is a signature tactic for them.

The people at the scaffolding demonstrated a nearly complete lack of leadership and organization.

If there had been 20 organized people there, they would have been in in 30 seconds. There were only a half a dozen police there to start with.

“He can send D.C. Guard to D.C. POTUS controls it there.”

It would seem so, but not quite.

The president is actually third down the chain to activate the DC National Guard. The authority to activate the D.C. National Guard has been delegated, by the President, to the Secretary of Defense and further delegated to the Secretary of the Army.

The secretaries exercise this authority through the Commanding General of the DCNG, who is appointed by the president and fulfills the same role as the Adjutant General of a state National Guard organization.

The National Guard was delegated by the president, Harry Truman, to the defense secretary pursuant to Executive Order 10030, 26 January 1949 with authority to designate National Military Establishment officials to administer affairs of the D.C. And as a matter of practice, whenever the mayor “desires civil support from the DCNG,” she submits a request to the Commanding General, who notifies the Secretary of the Army.

The legal authority for this assistance is bifurcated. In the event of riots or other civil unrest in the District, D.C. Code § 49-103 allows the mayor to ask the president, whose authority as commander in chief of the DCNG has been delegated to the Secretary of the Army as described above, to deploy the DCNG to suppress the disturbance. But it has to be requested and then followed through by the Department of the Army. And that’s where the problem exists.

Under the Posse Comitatus Act, federal troops cannot be used for police actions unless it determined insurrection.

Mayor Muriel Bowser requested full deployment of the DCNG and it took anywhere from 30 minutes (as Department of Defense officials have claimed) to two hours to secure approval. The Department of Defense (DoD) asked the Capitol Police on January 3 whether they would need National Guard support as unrest grew, and the Capitol Police declined. This suggests that DoD was ready and willing to approve DCNG deployment. DoD officials, however, have stated that they were merely being cautious about military involvement in election-related activities.

So Trump did his job. He allowed the delegated personnel as assigned in the EO accomplished in 1949, and the reaffirming one in 1969, to be utilized in this position. I have mentioned before, sometimes it appears directives may seem to get in the way. But you don’t break them, you get them changed. Breaking them can be criminal offense. And the people who disagree with them many times do not understand the reason they were written the way they are. Nothing is obvious. Except people don’t know everything they read when it is to attack Trump. Words, or history, can get changed or blurred.
