Vice President Mike Pence has not ruled out an effort to invoke the 25th Amendment and wants to preserve the option in case President Donald Trump becomes more unstable, a source close to the vice president says.
The source said there is some concern inside Pence's team that there are risks to invoking the 25th Amendment or even to an impeachment process, as Trump could take some sort of rash action putting the nation at risk.
As of Saturday evening, Trump and Pence still have not spoken since the Wednesday incursion at the US Capitol that left five people dead, including a Capitol Police officer, another source told CNN. The President has also not made any public comments denouncing death threats that have been posted on social media targeting Pence.

I saw on FR the other day the president’s approval at 51%.
Pence won’t even be able to return to his home in Indiana. I suggest that he ask his friend Eric Cantor for a job on K Street and buy a home in DC, it’s where he belongs. The swamp.

Pence is full of himself and no doubt is having an enormous amount of smoke being blown up his rear by the GOPe about what a great job he is doing now. From these leaks you can tell he has delusions about 2024. These swampers are painfully out of touch with flyover Trump country.

If he’s that stupid, he deserves to get humiliated like Jeb. But I doubt that it’ll come to that. Pence will probably go to dinner at a restaurant somewhere in Indianapolis and his former constituents will yell at him what they really think of him.
