People magazine has fiercely avoided reporting on the Trumps at all, but back at the end of August, they devoted two gushy pages to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Now, as Election Day is almost here, People published another gushy interview with Harris, and her husband Douglas Emhoff (who mostly sits quietly).
The headline was "RACING TO MAKE HISTORY: The vice presidential candidate and her husband open up about campaigning mid-pandemic and aiming to break the glass ceiling three times over: Electing America's first black, Indian-American woman as veep."
There's also a video on YouTube, so it's fascinating to see how People edits the questions, and the answers. There's no disclosure to the reader that it's been, well, "cleaned up." But it should be presumed. What's odd is when Fox News names are tossed in. Take this question from the magazine's political reporter Sandra Sobieraj Westfall:
Senator Harris, what does it say to you when someone like Georgia's Sen. David Perdue or Tucker Carlson mockingly mispronounces your name?
Except the video shows Westfall never actually mentioned Tucker Carlson:

Oh, you know, Kum-allah got used to it in Montreal where she’s actually from.
She probably never could tell when the Frenchmen were intentionally screwing her name up or if it was just the real way to pronounce it.
Must be confusing to be her.
I go by variations of my name, by names close to mine, misspellings, Mispronunciations, I go by all of my same sex siblings names, which is a lot.
I am not royalty, and if I were I would hope I had enough grace to have the basic virtue of dignity, but not Harris. The voters did not put her in that position. She won no primary, not even in her own state. Biden, in all his arrogance to us and humiliation to whomever he answers to, did put her in there.
She does consider herself to be royalty. She doesn’t answer to the American people. No one wants her. They/we have made that clear. She’s being put in there by unconstitutional. She is our Queen, she thinks. The democrat voters in their hatred are putting her in there and/or allowing the fraudulent usurpation of our system because they embrace their prince of hatred.

Trump was laying it on in one or more of his speeches this week. Barack Hussein Obama. I chuckled several times.
Change it from Camalala Bang Bang to Bouncing Betty. Problem solved.

I’ve always pronounced her name the same way as the Ugandan Giant did. From the old WWF.
But now that I think about it, she is nowhere near the same class and quality of that huge African. She does not deserve to share that Name or Pronunciation.

If Harris is so thin skinned she can not with stand someone mocking her then she has no business anywhere near the President.
