We can't spare this man, he fights!

The media is up in arms, the democrats are up in arms, the Congress is up in arms, the CIA/FBI/DOJ/DOS is up in arms, the Pentagon is up in arms, the military/industrial complex is up in arms--they have the president surrounded six ways to Sunday.

And Trump says to the people, we have them right where we want them. We'll divide our forces six ways and fight in all directions.

“Neither is being a pot head. But both are more dangerous to the public’s health and well being than coronavirus is currently.”

That’s the socialist definition of “public health”: if enough people are unhealthy, even due to their own actions, it’s automatically government’s business. That’s the mentality that leads to banning Big Gulps - and government-mandated bedtimes, coming soon to a blue state near you.

As usual you have demonstrated that your understanding of history is something similar to a fun house mirror and you have it backwards... again. Socialist governments are always looking for something to keep the public out of touch with reality so that they will not worry about the government taking more and more power over their lives. Typically they have not wanted to completely destroy the fabric of society so they have relied on booze and alcohol. Because of the public's long term familiarity with these substances they are typically not quite as devastating as other more insidious mind numbing psychotropic drugs.

You of course are the most prolific advocate of marijuana on these forums. Which oddly enough puts you right in line with leftists and progressives all over this country. It's properties cause people not to care about what is going on around them or losing control of their lives to government bureaucrats. In Washington marijuana workers were immediately declared "essential" by our leftist governor, while construction workers, and even agricultural workers in nurseries and other businesses were told to stay home. Marijuana workers were considered by our governor to be more "essential" than workers who provide food and shelter.

Well that's a leftist for you. Keep the public in their comfortable cocoon while taking absolutely everything away from them. You crowing about liberty and smearing conservatives by calling them leftists is flat out Orwellian. Even your pseudonym was stolen from author Russell Breighner. Noble thief would be a more suitable pseudonym for you.

The Noble Free

"The author recently retired with over 30 years service as a military intelligence analyst, having been involved in intelligence and military issues at the national level. He performed threat assessments for major weapons system acquisitions, such as the first cruise missiles, the advanced tactical fighter (F-22 Raptor), and the advanced medium range air-to-air missile. He also served with the Strategic Defense Initiative Organization. Although these activities emphasized technical arenas, they brought into focus the need to know and understand the cultural and historical backgrounds of our allies and enemies. While reading Francis Parkman’s La Salle and the Discovery of the Great West, the author was struck with the need to write a novel on this subject."

If you steal someone elses work that is not widely known... you should at least give some credit to them in your tagline.

It’s all about context, isn’t it? My guess is Trump wouldn’t mind it one bit.

Very good point. I can even see him grinning at being called a magnificent bastard.

Thanks for bringing this back - as true today as it was in the past as it will be in years to come. Welcome to the Trump Train Righter...

Neither is being a pot head. But both are more dangerous to the public’s health and well being than coronavirus is currently.

That’s the socialist definition of “public health”: if enough people are unhealthy, even due to their own actions, it’s automatically government’s business. That’s the mentality that leads to banning Big Gulps - and government-mandated bedtimes, coming soon to a blue state near you.

Nothing in your reply has anything to do with public health, much less refute my point about that topic.

But since you're determined to rant about pot:

Because of the public's long term familiarity with these substances [booze and alcohol] they are typically not quite as devastating as other more insidious mind numbing psychotropic drugs.

Alcohol is more addictive than marijuana, and the only one of the two that can cause a fatal overdose.

It's [marijuana] properties cause people not to care about what is going on around them or losing control of their lives to government bureaucrats.

Whereas boozers are keenly and actively interested in public policy? LOL!

In Washington marijuana workers were immediately declared "essential" by our leftist governor, while construction workers, and even agricultural workers in nurseries and other businesses were told to stay home. Marijuana workers were considered by our governor to be more "essential" than workers who provide food and shelter.

Ridiculous, of course - but in many states liquor stores were also declared "essential". It's all about the Benjamins.

Even your pseudonym was stolen from author Russell Breighner.

I never heard of Breighner before you brought him to my attention; I got my handle from "My Country Tis of Thee".

I am not really sure how you go from “My Country Tis of Thee” to Noble Free but as long as Mr. Breighner doesn't see your posts I guess that you are in the clear.

Sorry, I have just gotten so much enjoyment pulling your chain that I just couldn't help making a comment on your response to me.

Oh, I’ve been all in aboard the Trump train since he won the 2016 nomination. It’s just that my appreciation has grown immensely since he took office.

I am not really sure how you go from “My Country Tis of Thee” to Noble Free

Verse 2 begins:

My native country, thee,
Land of the noble free

Now you know.
