The majority of the country thinks the $600 a week is too much for unemployment. It’s beyond too much it’s absurd. And she won’t budge from that. Trump should make that known and I think he has. How can he deal with her if she won’t budge from that?

A lot of Americans are lazy as it is, including me :-) though my income wasn’t affected by the virus. In fact online work has increased.

But if I got laid off and was getting 400 from New York State and 600 from the feds, I do not think I would be looking too hard. it is embarrassing to admit but may be the truth.

Or these people are working off the books and getting the $600 from the feds and getting the $400 from the state and making $1500 a week cash.

Crazy

Don’t feel bad. I would take it too if I could. I am retired, I worked my butt off for decades. I dont qualify for federal or state unemployment. So I have to work part-time to supplement my income.
I figure you are a fellow freeper, a patriot, and a hard working American. I would rather see you get the money rather than having it given away to buy votes from illegal, criminal aliens and those that refuse to work.

“The majority of the country thinks the $600 a week is too much for unemployment.”

It’s not $600 a week! It’s an EXTRA $600 a week on top of the $350-$450 a week they were already getting in unemployment!

Most were getting more than they got working.

All of this should have been geared toward a ‘per-week’ sum within each state or region. I might agree, if you live in the heart of Manhattan or SF....$600 might be a sum to aim for. But in southern Georgia or the state of Kentucky....$250 per week probably would have been a better sum to aim for.
