"Kyle Rittenhouse, a Blue Lives Matter fanatic, Donald Trump supporter and militia member, has been charged with murder. It is alleged that having travelled from Illinois to Wisconsin to point his assault rifle at unarmed protesters, he shot two people dead. He was later heard claiming: I just killed somebody. While the Trump campaign quietly disavowed this enthusiastic supporter, insisting he had nothing to do with our campaign (as though anyone had suggested otherwise), the president himself defended Rittenhouse, saying he appeared to have been acting in self defense."
They mention right up front that Rittenhouse is a Trump supporter, and then deny that anyone suggested he has anything to do with the Trump campaign. And there IS a lot of video evidence that Rittenhouse acted in self-defense, and it is a lie to say that the protesters who confronted him were unarmed.

The author is a freaking communist. Yes, communist.
To: sickoflibs
Has the writer not seen the videos? Or is he just a flat out liar?
To: Steve_Seattle
What’s crazy is the videos are embedded in the article. So Guardian readers have the choice of believing their own eyes or believing the writer’s BS.

And they just can’t help themselves, can they? Their hatred of all freedom and capitalistic thought cries out in their every word.

Hey Guardian, I bet that British soldier who was
hacked to death by a "peaceful" muslim immigrant
on a city street would have wished he had a gun.
How about the people murdered on that London bridge
by "peaceful" muslim immigrants. Does the Guardian think
they would have wished they were carrying guns and had
a chance to defend their lives?

Projection. It’s not just for movie theaters anymore.

Blue Lives Matter fanatic.
What a tool bag, so the author should be called “A rioting, arson loving, physical assault approving fanatic”.

Kyle WAS a vigilante medic. He was aggressively applying right-wing first aid to injured leftists. Can you get more violent than that?

This kid was nearly killed by an angry mob armed with blunt objects and guns, but somehow he’s at fault because he didn’t let them murder him when he fell down while trying to run away from them.
Not letting angry mobs murder you is racist I guess?

He also put out a fire in a dumpster that the rioters had pushed into the street. Took about 3 seconds with his fire extinguisher. That was early on at the gas station - the rioters were pissed! Including red shirt guy and arm guy.

Even by their standards, this is slanderous. Paging Lin Wood, Paging Lin Wood. Attorney Wood please pick up the sue the Guardian for slander hot line.
To: discostu
Because both sides are addicted to the idea that if their guy did it it must be OK. You are confusing conservatives with Democrats and leftists, and raising a bad straw man argument. Please think about the situation more carefully.

... fanatic Sigh starts real early with the adjectives
...to point his assault rifle at unarmed protesters Really?
...He was later heard claiming: “I just killed somebody.” So?
...(as though anyone had suggested otherwise), HahaHA! don't wanna appear to do THIS!
...he appeared to have been acting in self defence.
...every accused lone-wolf murderer
...the Christian right has already raised $250,000 for Rittenhouse’s defence. OOOooh! How big is the rioter's defense fund?

No I’m not. And if you’d bothered to read the rest of what I wrote you’d see that. It’s not a strawman. It’s the truth. YOU are forgiving behavior from people you agree with that you wouldn’t if you didn’t. And how YOU are afraid to admit the truth.

I will always defend the right of people to defend themselves and people around them, and the right of people to defend property and the rule of law.
My belief applies to everyone. I'll stand up and defend the Antifa member who shot the Trump supporter in Portland Oregon if it turns out that he was legitimately in fear of his life and fired his pistol in self defense. And yes, I'll also defend Kyle Rittenhouse for his actions taken in self defense.
Your straw man includes a presumption of what other people believe and would do. That's not logical, and it is not correct.

>>When Lefty got shot, his arm was no longer really connected holding a gun. So, in essence, Kyle disarmed him.<<
I see what you did there :)
