The Real Problem with Joe's Dementia
American Thinker.com ^ | August 15, 2020 | Sally Zelikovsky

Posted on 08/15/2020 7:07:31 AM PDT by Kaslin

Many Americans seem to have understandably concluded that Joe Biden has dementia based on his very public displays of confusion, aphasia, and incoherence. But the question we should actually be asking is What is going on with Joe out of public view?

Like many Americans who have cared for parents with dementia, I witnessed my father’s decline firsthand and, sadly, Joe Biden is presenting exactly as my father did in the early stages -- right down to the vacant look in his eyes. While I am neither doctor nor expert, physicians and other medical professionals rely heavily on caregiver observations because they monitor the disease’s progression 24/7 over the long haul, and can add valuable input that is not always obvious at an appointment or measurable with a cognitive test. I am relying on my experience as my father’s caregiver, corroborated by medical professionals, health consultants, literature, research, and the shared experiences of others. Of course, not every dementia victim will experience every symptom, but the commonalities are significant.

As the disease grabs hold of one’s faculties, men like Biden and my father continue to view themselves as experienced executives -- in control, commanding, and coherent; holding court as the family patriarch; the old dude who’s seen it all. They don’t doubt their ability to express complex ideas with the right words. And so, they conduct business as usual and, for the most part, things go fine until they stammer over a word, get frustrated, then confused, and either babble their way out or shut down. It isn’t long before lost words, forgotten names, and elusive ideas are replaced by whatchamacallit, whosimajig, whatshername, and the thing.

One thing not mentioned in this piece is the belligerence that seems to develop with dementia...don’t know if that’s a reaction to confusion or frustration, but I think we’ve already seen Biden react with unwarranted belligerence on multiple occasions. For a politician in particular - someone who by definition is trying to charm people - belligerent behavior seems to be strong evidence that the person is no longer in control of their emotions.

The DEMs are going to be ten times as nutty, angry, and resistance in Trump’s second term. It’ll be a sight to behold. If they can’t hold control using reason, they’ll burn it down.

There is a whole industry of so-called “nootropics” - drugs, supplements, and other substances that may improve cognitive function, particularly executive functions, memory, creativity, or motivation, in healthy individuals - and I suspect the Biden campaign has bought a boatload of them...

It’s funny that during Edith Wilson’s de facto Presidency that we had probably our greatest Attorney-General, A. Mitchell Palmer. No one since has showed the courage to treat leftists the way they deserved to be treated. “Historians” and leftists hate Palmer with a burning passion, which shows just how superb he was. If only AG Barr modeled himself on Palmer...

He really is lost without teleprompters. And you can tell he is using them.

Slo-Joe:

“Corn Pop, you lyin’ dog faced pony soldier, if you vote for Trump you ain’t black!”

We can make a game of it, adding his gaffs to make the longest “mostly coherent” sentence.

I posted this theory two days ago:

I don't believe Biden is a Trojan Horse. Biden is a decoy.

I still think that after the convention where Biden's nomination will be confirmed, he will have a mental collapse on the campaign trail and be replaced by party leaders. When that happens, Harris' status will be questionable.

Democrats appear to be in a unique position to "trial balloon" the ticket to see what attacks they receive by the Trump campaign. When Biden falters, Democrats can redo the ticket in response to the attacks they already received from Trump, deflecting the prior attacks and shielding the ticket from future repeat attacks. That might mean replacing Harris, too, if the attacks on her are particularly damaging.

This will force the Trump campaign to rearm their quivers to the new ticket, and possibly waste valuable ammo on the decoy Biden candidacy.

Running an incapacitated candidate may be a Mulligan strategy to take the initial incoming fire, and then run the real candidate in response.

Kamala will run nothing, any more than Hiding Biden. It doesn’t really matter who is their Party contender, or the figurehead, or sitting in the White House.

The global money changers, Soros as their executor, call All shots against the West and Western tradition. This included Republicans,... Until Trump.

Before dementia became an issue, he was a crook. Now he’s a crooked man with dementia. Hector Salamanca rides again. Ding!

I grew a beard the last winter my mom was alive. I had an operation and couldn’t see her for a month. I showed up, face covered in hair. She and I had a great conversation. She had no idea who I was, but she had lots to say about how [My name] wouldn’t let her do anything.

I agreed. He’s a jerk, I said.

She said, yeah...but he’s the only one to take care of me.

Funny and sad at the same time.

I still looked the same, but my Mom didn’t recognize me as her daughter. She could remember my name, and that she had a daughter with the same name, but she didn’t think we were the same person. She was constantly astounded by how much I knew about her, her family, her friends, and her home.

Like you said, funny and sad at the same time.

So? What indication do we have that groping Joe isn’t a garden of STDs including tertiary syphilis?

Always a possibility but a very remote one in this antibiotic era. Syphilis is very discoverable and treatable in its early stage, in contrast to Woody's time.

One other possible risk factor in Biden's dementia: although the media have barely gone into this, Biden's medical history includes two brain surgeries for aneurysms.
