BREAKING: The U.S.-backed Afghan government in Kabul has engaged in a "policy or practice" that allows government officials to rape & molest little boys inside "government compounds" w impunity, according to new Pentagon IG report. The practice is called bacha bazi or "boy play"

I did not serve, but my son served multiple tours in the Middle East including Afghanistan. I supported George W Bush’s attempt to “nation build” Afghanistan and Iraq after we responded to the 9/11 attacks. I thought that it would give the people of those nations an opportunity for civilization.
I admit now that it didn’t work. As a result, any future military intervention should be to kill people and break things and to let it burn. That’s the only language they understand. When the resulting Howells of complaint come the answer should be “ We tried. For me once shame on you. Full me twice shame on me.”

I remember our soldiers being mocked by the left because their mission was seen as being something like “Bush sent the Marines to bomb Afghanistan so little girls could go to school.” Part of me feels for the little girls (and boys) who are born to that hellscape, but it isn’t up to my kids to fight for their freedom.

Afghanistan is not a nation. It is simply tribal areas that are defined as a nation. Each area is really semi autonomous.
They kicked the Brits ass many years ago. They kicked the Russians ass 30 years ago. India Pakistan of old was wise enough not to F with them. The damn place is not worth one drop of American blood. I would suggest give it to Russia for round two of much Russian blood.
The most logical way to look at Afghanistan is it was and may be in the future a locus of terrorist activity that may harm us. If such happens again in the future just call in the bomb truck (B52s) and level all that are a threat. Send in assassination squads to kill leaders of terrorism. Kill with logical and precise abandon. They actually understand this.
