Judging by the haircut and no stripes, I would say this is right after Basic graduation. I went there after Basic, and also had no stripes.

I think he was kick out of the military under administrative separation. If a person has less than two years of service, they can be administrative separation, he was a problem child or could not do his job. He never made it out of school most likely.

You are correct. I went to OTS when it was in Medina Annex to Lackland. We all looked young and dorky, but at least I had my marksmanship ribbon.
