First Phase 3 test of coronavirus vaccine candidate begins in US

An investigational vaccine developed by drugmaker Moderna and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases began Phase 3 trials on Monday, becoming the first candidate to reach that step in testing.

About 30,000 adult volunteers are set to be enrolled in the trial, according to CNN, which added that the first patient was dosed at a site in Savannah, Ga. A trial group will receive two 100 microgram injections of the candidate while a control group receiving a placebo, both about four weeks apart, the network noted.

Fauci/NIH has an ownership stake in Moderna. A company that reportedly has never developed a vaccine. Fauci made sure that Moderna has no liability for its product.

Fauci should be on trial for Crimes Against Humanity for his role in silencing Dr. Judy Mikovits when she tried to warn the public of the animal retrovirus contamination in the vaccines.

mRNA does not alter DNA, it only serves as instructions for building proteins using the cell’s machinery.

RNA therapeutics are rapidly cleared from the cells. i.e. the RNA degrades quickly (days).

Also, RNA is not inserted. It is not passed down. mRNA is not germ line editing at all. It is not any kind of DNA editing.

Most vaccines and antivirals are not susceptible to meaningful animal testing because the virus does not affect any animals the way it does people.

When you get the virus it contains RNA instructions to build an entire virion (virus particle). It builds copies of itself in the cytoplasm (not cell nucleus) using the cell machinery. This vaccine is just using the cell machinery to build the protein spike. So it will do a tiny part of what the virus does, just enough to show the immune system the non-self protein we want it to react to with antibodies and killer T cells.

A key member of Moderna left the company to run Trump’s Warp Speed Initiative. Ever since that week, the slanders from the left have been flying.

If you are running a clinical trial, one good reason for warning the subjects against unprotected sex is to avoid complicating infections. Many or most viruses have to suppress immune function in order to evade it and reproduce successfully.

Gene editing technology is scary, but this is not gene editing. That is different technology. CRISPR for example. The whole Fauci ad hominem crap is like some negative version of “resort to authority” - If Fauci says something basic like 2+2=4 you think it must be an evil deception.

Oh wait, you saw something on Facebook. Facebook is like the newspaper. When have you had personal knowledge of a subject or event when the newspaper was right? Ever?

My FRiendly advice is 1) when lecturing always be sure you know your subject to at least ten times as deep as what you present, and 2) be self aware of your prejudices and emotional reactions.

Oh I agree with you about Hydroxychloroquine and other “gentle” immunosuppressants, and cocktails including zinc and antibiotics to suppress secondary infections that may be encouraged by the partial immunosuppression.

No doubt the Left has demonized the obvious and most noninvasive, already available, and inexpensive treatments. TDS.

The key is to suppress the cytokine storm ( immune system overreaction) causing lung damage without letting infections ( the original coronavirus and others, including bacterial) run amok.

Decreasing pathogenicity ( symptom relief), antivirals, serum from recovered patients, and vaccines are four different subjects/treatments and not mutually exclusive.
