“What happened to Matt Drudge?” Carlson asked, introducing Lysiak, author of the new book, “The Drudge Revolution,” which will be released next week.
The biographer suggested that the turnaround could be an economic decision — Drudge figuring he can make more money bashing the president rather than backing him for reelection.
“I think one of the mistakes a lot of people have when they’re trying to analyze Matt Drudge is they try looking at him strictly through a political sphere,” the biographer said.
“The reality is…his loyalty isn’t any political party or ideas, it’s just to his website,” Lysiak added.

His father was a social worker and his mother (with whom he lived after his parents divorced) was a staff attorney for Teddy Kennedy. Perhaps he was never a conservative and just posed as one to make money. Maybe he is just revealing what he always was - a leftist.

His massive audience declines are still continuing.

I haven’t looked at Drudge Report for more than a year now. It used to be on my favorites list and a got at least once a day if not more. There are better places to go for news...of course number one is Free Republic, then there’s Just The News and Bongino Report. Drudge is dead to me.
I watched the segment last night, and the audio/visual for the guest was awful, at times there was echo, it “skippe,” it was jumbled. Lousy segment as it was quite difficult to understand what was being said.
I am old enough to remember when CNN first came on the air and was an independent voice from NBC, ABC and See BS. They actually were fair and balanced for a couple of years.

Unless you are one of the parties involve with the sale or one of their attorneys then you are not going to get information that can be absolutely confirmed. They are keeping it secret. So hearsay and a little common sense is all that there is. Do you really believe that Drudge just flipped in such an extreme way?
At least when Drudge was conservative he had links to a variety of other articles on non-political and occasional left leaning articles.
It was truly a news aggregating site.
