Monday marks day 54 of protests in Louisville, following the shooting death of Breonna Taylor. One group is taking that protest further with a hunger strike.
They began their strike on a Facebook Live today at noon.
The people who have been out protesting decided they needed to do more. The participants say they want to re-energize the protests but amplify that they’re hungry for justice.
For the past several weeks, around Louisville we’ve all heard these protesters’ voices. As of Monday, they want us to hear their hunger. There’s only one thing that they say will satisfy them.
“We just want justice; however that is going to look and whatever the outcome,” Amira Bryant said. Bryant is one of the four people who have volunteered to go on the hunger strike.

It’ll be a Fake Hunger Strike — “hunger strike” from 10am-4pm, pizza, burgers, and fries (& a Diet Coke) after.
Is this a REAL hunger strike? Or do they just skip snacks until next meal time?
If that doesn’t work they’ll hold their breath.

It could be a hunger strike relay. Each member of the group will skip a meal when it is their turn. I think that is the way Jessie Jackson did it back in the day.

Hunger strikes never work. Nobody cares.
If these yahoos starve to death, and if the Karens run to get the new vaccine, I say things could be looking up for America. Culling the herd. Taking out the trash. It’s all good.
It’s amazing how many able-bodied people seem to live and prosper without jobs. Most of us have to work to survive. But these parasites live on an endless gravy train.

Probably not. We all know they have zero willpower. Once those hunger pangs start, they’ll cave.
