President Donald Trump is facing broad disapproval for his management of the two major crises gripping the nation, with two-thirds of Americans giving him low marks for both his response to the coronavirus pandemic and his handling of race relations, according to a new ABC News/Ipsos poll released Friday.
Evaluation of Trump's oversight of the COVID-19 crisis reached a new low since ABC News/Ipsos began surveying on the coronavirus in March, with 67% disapproving of his efforts. One-third of the country approves of the president's oversight of the pandemic.
Over nearly four months of polling, Trump's approval has mostly held steady, except for one week in mid-March, when it spiked above 50%. In the last month, Trump's approval dipped to a range between the high 30s and low 40s, as the U.S. saw a resurgence of coronavirus cases, particularly across the south and west.
In the newest poll, which was conducted by Ipsos in partnership with ABC News using Ipsos’ Knowledge Panel, Trump's approval rating on his job dealing with the coronavirus dropped another rung, driven by plunging support among independents and even waning support among Republicans. Democrats have always been highly skeptical.
Trump's approval among independents lands at 26% in the survey, a sharp drop from 40% in mid-June, the last time the question was asked. Trump's disapproval among independents has risen to 73%, up from 59% in the June poll.
Within his own party, Republicans are less inclined to back him in the newest poll, with only 78% approving of the president's handling of the coronavirus, compared to 90% in mid-June. His disapproval of 22% in the new poll is a more than two-fold increase from last month.

Yes, five months of constant negative pounding gives you this. The virus and the race BS gave the MSM exactly what they needed to shred Trump’s re-election lock. Most people still get the news from MSM, as a result most people have no clue just how far gone Joe really is.
I’ll be honest, I’m not happy with Trump’s handling of the virus.
He sold us all on “bend the curve” and then let Fauci and dictatorial governors and unelected transvestite health secretaries run hog wild behaving as dictators. He lost control of the narrative after he stopped holding the daily pressers. He needed to add some better doctors with sane, rational advice and can Dr. Doom and Scarves.
We’re here because we all went along with this at the beginning because Trump asked us to. But now it’s hard to see how he’s ever going to pull us back from this.
It shooting a member of the media was considered as justifiable homicide, then this extreme liberal bias might end.

Nobody likes rioting, lawlessness, looting and mayhem apart from the anarchists themselves. Even Blacks are against defunding the police because Blacks suffer far more than any race when the police are not there.
You only have to look at the skyrocketing murder rates in Chicago, New York, Minnesota etc over the past 5 weeks.
What the Trump campaign has to do is effectively go after the Dems on these issues.

The BLM/ANTIFA protesters also tipped their hand that they were going to take it to the suburbs. That was a huge strategic mistake on their part. People would vote nearly anybody who would stand in the way of that.
The year isn’t even done and Philadelphia so far has a 10 year record for murders in the entire year. I wouldn’t be surprised if by the end of the year it hits a 20 or even a 30 year record.

With all these people losing their jobs merely for supporting Trump, a lot of prudent Trump supporters have found it wise to keep their voting intentions to themselves. Even when they are polled. That probably affects the polls. Should be an interesting four months.

I think that COVID number is split between Karens hiding under the bed who want him to close down the country again and people like me who are frustrated that he talked us into this to bend the curve but now won’t rein-in the actors who are destroying our liberties.

But I must say that I will still crawl over broken glass to vote for Trump because the alternative is too horrible to contemplate.
Maybe if he had Governor Cuomo Arrested for Murdering all those Old Folks his approval rating would improve.
Oh wait, Cuomo is at 65% Approval for doing that. Never mind.
