Were it 50 years ago you’d get enough drinking glasses to supply everyone in the country.
“I have always supported Israel but if I had been president when they attacked the Liberty, there would have been real serious consequences.”
A+bert had some juicy comments about the USS Liberty incident.
It’s a military purchase therefore govt. oversight.
I still have a lot of those Holiday glasses.
Gas station glasses and jelly jars were all I drank out of through most of the 70s.
[Somethings up.]
Certainly sounds like it. Especially with those other reports.
Hmmmmm.
Well, I wasn’t that greedy.
I only wanted 0.08 cents per gallon.
$792,000
I was too low. That is not really, really rich.
Look up USS Liberty & LBJ
That'll land with a real...aww, never mind.
If you had been president there would not have been the incident.
Look up USS Liberty and LBJ. It gets a little Hillary Benghazi-ish.
It leaves one puzzled.
In a war it isnt much. And I assume that is why they are purchasing it.
You realize that our M1 Abrams tanks alone use about 2 gallons to the mile? Or more accurately, .6 MPG.
An armored division will use in excess of 500 thousand gallons of fuel a day...or more.
So do the math. 5 Armored divisions using 2.5 millions gallons a day...and thats just one type of fuel they are buying. So you have to split that up about equally between the other types. So if its equal, in ten days they would just about use up all the fuel for military purposes alone.
I’m surprised Israel hasn’t offered a joint venture opportunity to one of the major refiners to build a refinery closer to Israel - costs for their fuel requirements must be an absolute Hillary!
The Saratoga launched a squadron to defend the Liberty after receiving a call for aid against the attack. By order of SecDef, that flight was recalled before ever reaching the Liberty.
Answer the why behind the recall, and win a prize. CIA intercept operation spilling beans to Egypt about military operational plans for the Golan Heights?
ok. what really counts is govt oversight in case of any military purchase of our famous $2000 military toilet seats
To be fair I have a 10th grade education
Vendome is dumb sometimes...
They certainly overlooked it :)
I suspect more JP8 than Diesel, but if they’re planning on lowering the boom on Iran, I’m fine with that.
I hear ya. If they go after those sobs in Persia, then I wouldnt care if we sell them 5 billion gallons. Just so they finished the job correctly.
