Patrick Mahomes has signed a 10-year deal, per report. It’s the richest in NFL history.

He’s already been injured once. This is a stupid deal by KC.
But I don’t give a shit as the NFL is dead to me.

I am a die hard Pats/Brady fan. Mahomes is easily the best QB I’ve seen in the past two years.

Might as well put a flag on these qb’s you can’t touch them nowadays.
I remember watching a playoff game with the 9ers and Cowboys probably mid 90s and Aikman got the everloving shit kicked out of him but he kept getting back up.
Had a lot of respect for the guy after that and I was a Packer fan.

Hope he gets paid in advance. By 2031 there won’t be an NFL.

Umm when adding injuries when they played together (8 years, Fall of 85-92), Montana only played around 25% of his career with Rice and keep in mind, Montana had two Super Bowls and 3 Pro Bowls before he threw one pass to Rice in the NFL. This is coming from a Cowboys fan btw.

At least I won’t be watching when the Cardinals’ joke of a front line finally allows a defense to crush our mini-QB.

I’m with you there. Mahomes is a truly great player. Funny thing, in some ways, he’s actually made it easier to walk away from the SJWFL because of the amazing show he put on in the playoffs and especially the Super Bowl.

will the Leftists come after the Chiefs team name

No doubt, in fact, it's already started. It will be an exercise in ignorance and stupidity as they have no idea what they will be saying.

The Chiefs name comes from the KC Mayor H. Roe Bartle, known as Chief Bartle. He was a major Boy Scout leader and was the founder in 1925 of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, a Boy Scout honor society for adult leaders. The Kansas Chiefs colors and their Arrowhead logo comes from the Order of the Arrow, a Boy Scout honor fraternity for Scouts and Leaders. All of it honored our Native American heritage.

Good for Patrick. Nice kid. But I hope the NFL goes bankrupt into extinction.

He is similar to the player that he just displaced as the top paid NFL player.

Russell Wilson, after 2 years, was 24-8 (played 2 more games in 2 years than Mahomes did in 3),

both won a super bowl (Wilson y2, Mahomes y3),

Wilson passed for 9,950 yds, 72 tds, and 26 int (across 3 years), whereas Mahomes stats are similar after 2.

Wilson rushed for 1,877 yds and 11 TDs on 308 carries (3 years) and had 849 yds in 1 year.

Probably the biggest difference is Wilson was saddled with Pete Carrols run first offense, whereas Mahomes got Andy Reids pass offense. Both are very likable down to earth people. In Seattle, we are hoping this is the year that Russell is truely unleashed.

Now...everyone is gonna want to give him a career ending injury.just cannot get hit that much. The tissue is tenderized...and eventually breaks or shears off.
If I were him I would pay extra to get the best blockers on my line. Be worth a million extra per lineman. But in reality who really cares?

Class act. He’s worth every penny of it, both for his incredible talents as the most exciting quarterback in the league and commercially to the NLF. Lots more eyes on the screen in those local markets when the Chiefs are on the tube.Great to watch him even if you’re not a Chiefs fan.
