The Morning Briefing: Trump's Mt. Rushmore Speech Is What We've All Been Waiting For
PJ Media ^ | 6 July 2020 | Stephen Kruiser

Thank You, President Trump

Independence Day happened in this weirdest of years and — just when you needed him to — the president of these United States showed up and did his thing.

Donald J. Trump — the greatest president since Ronald W. Reagan — showed up to Mt. Rushmore to deliver a speech that his supporters desperately needed.

I wrote a column just a couple of days ago wondering if President Trump actually wanted to win this election. After what I saw this weekend I would have to say yes. Emphatically.

I had been lamenting the fact that Trump wasn’t using the power of incumbency thus far. Standing in front of Mt. Rushmore while jets streamed overhead kind of changed that.

This moment was brilliant. The Trump faithful have been waiting for him to bust out. Yes, he has been forced to be calmer because of the plague but he has been a little too cautious. He finally delivered here.

If this election is going to turn on a dime, then this is that dime. Trump came out swinging for the fences with this speech and cleared all of the fences. He finally got the word that it was time to win this thing.

This speech, with a literally monumental backdrop, was magnificently timed. I may not trust the people around him, but I do trust Trump’s instincts.

Great speech, then he goes and posts a stupid tweet about Bubba Wallace today. I have no idea why he gets involved in some of these petty battles. Bubba Wallace is a nobody. Just let it go. I am 100% supportive of Trump, just sometimes wonder why he chooses to go where he goes.

Afterwards I texted my brother that Trump won re-election
with that speech.

Secret Code In Printed Transcript of speech——

Held to a mirror, every fourth line (for July 4th) reversed again contains a dog whistle alert word for Deplorables to fight back to enforce Law and Order.

Playing the digital recording backwards reveals “Fight— to —save— our— great— nation— from —Marxists” and “I —buried— Paul.”

Had to put a little 60s gag in there.

I couldn't believe my ears as the politically incorrect admonitions came rolling out.

The speech was in effect a declaration of war.

All the Ameritrash existing on the left is now on the defensive as President Trump is on the attacked and has mobilized history and qall thet is patriotic to destroy the enemy.

The man can really put on a spectacular show!!

It was the most inspiring speech I’ve heard in a very long time.

Question is, are speeches enough?

Someone should call Bubba Wallace out. NASCAR has flown the Confederate Flag not as a symbol of some black hate but as a symbol of history. The North and South struck a note of reconciliation. We would remain One Nation, Under God, Indivisible with Liberty and Justice For all.

Let's face it...Just like kaepernick, Wallace played the race card and hurt NASCAR....forever.

Trump blurts out what we are all thinking, ALSO he is trying to break through the fact that WE can’t say what the hell we are thinking but he can say it for us!! In all honesty this tweet is not going to piss off MOST Americans but the lefts hair is on fire!! Bubba SHOULD apologize just as Smollet SHOULD apologize but NEVER DID!!

It was a great speech.

Some on FR believe that PDJT 'glows' for his poisonous divisiveness.

It's some kind of super secret Q decipher.

Because he thinks like we do and speaks as we do. He's one of us AND a billionaire.

I agree. That is why I tall people to ignore what a politician says and watch what they do. And what I liked was what he said he has done. One example - the “statue” federal park. Another: Ten year minimum sentence for tearing down federal statues.

Trump gets up there and makes proclamations about how he won’t let angry mobs destroy our history, or tear down monuments. Excuse me Mr. President, you are letting it happen, very deliberately so.

“I have no idea why he gets involved in some of these petty battles. Bubba Wallace is a nobody.”

Could be that many black likely-voters don’t care for the likes of Bubba that are making NASCAR into a racial battlefield. Could be that they would just like to enjoy an evening at the track.

When he gave that speech, I looked to my wife and said, “Heh, I wrote that!”

This is the first president since Reagan whose speeches could have been written by a lot of Freepers.

NASCAR pretty much died when Dale did. They insured the cars are nearly identical, put limiters on speed, wave caution flags when someone farts too loud and replaced the real men with corporate soy-boys who back off when they should be competing. This sucking up to PC is the "stick the fork in them" moment where real Americans who grew up with auto racing turn their backs on it until it gets back to it's roots. If it ever does.

They've gone from Winston Cup to the sippy cup. There's probably changing tables in the crew pits now.

“They insured the cars are nearly identical, put limiters on speed”

I remember that and was disheartened. It must have hit the car designers and mechanics like a sledgehammer. What distinguishes them now other than the decals slapped all over the cars? Oh, and the drivers.
