An assault on an 18-year-old biracial woman in Wisconsin is being investigated as a hate crime after she was set on fire in her car, according to the Madison Police Department.
The victim, Althea Bernstein, told authorities she was stopped at a red light Wednesday with her driver's side window down when she heard someone yell a racial slur. It was at that point that four white men allegedly sprayed a liquid on her face and neck and then threw a flaming lighter at her, which caused the liquid to ignite, according to the incident report.
Scared, Bernstein began to drive and patted out the flames, the report stated. She drove home, where her mother told her to go to the hospital.
At the hospital, she was treated for burns and will need to make follow-up visits for additional medical care, authorities said. Hospital staff, according to police, believe the liquid was lighter fluid.

if the burn is really bad sometimes you have to keep reapply for hours
usually what happens is I do about an hour unless really bad..and then take a cold wrap and wrap it for longer to keep it cool
also use a cold can periodically if it is in a an area I can grip it
end up with no burn, no peeling,no scar..of course, this is not for lighting yourself on fire. That is probably too bad of a burn

This is how we saw it on Milwaukee news this morning. Video shows burns on left side of her face. But just before that they showed a still picture that was reversed for some reason - burns were on the right side. So you're right....somebody's messing around or the news idiots don't know what they're doing.
sounds like another hoax. The media move from one hoax to the next without a pause for reflexion on all their failed hoaxes.

That does NOT look like burns; the injuries look like road-rash.....
When you use the phone camera (with the face of the phone facing you) the picture/video is inverted.
I mean, IF this happened, it was clearly a crime, and probably a crime motivated by either hate, or by some crazy person’s idea of fun (if it is a white guy, it will be hate, if it was a black guy doing this to a white woman, it would be “wilding”).
If she faked this, she went way overboard, because she got really hurt.
A lot of people take selfies which “reverse” their image, you can tell if they have writing somewhere.
Like how when you look in a mirror, what you see is NOT what a person talking to you sees, it is reversed.

Here's what really happened: She was probably smoking crack or something and it blew up in her face.
