Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan said city officials will work with Black-led community organizations to dismantle the Capitol Hill Occupied Protest (CHOP) zone.
Durkan on Monday announced the city will move to end protesters' occupation of several blocks in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, but officials have yet to outline exactly when or how it will be done.
However, Durkan noted that efforts to clear the area, originally named the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ), of protesters would be led by community organizers, rather than law enforcement.

I posted yesterday that police should not be forced into the no-win situation. Media and Pelosi types will say they forced violence by their militaristic posture-—even if they do not fire one shot all day.

If so, I wonder what kind of offers of assistance she's getting? Or are they treating her like a leper, writing her off as hopelessly damaged. I don't think they did that with Stephanie Rawlings-Blake after she gave the mob "room to destroy" in Baltimore, but Stephanie had something going for her that Jenny Durkan lacks.

And their easygoing life in the “Summer of Love” works if all meals, supplies, hygienic and sanitary needs are fully met by other people donating it all to them. Nice life.
Maybe I want to plant a big garden in Gretchen Whitmer’s backyard in Lansing, MI, sleep in her mansion with meals served by maids, and drive around in her limos. Why not? I feel like doing it and I may not recognize her property rights (taxpayer supplied), her viewpoints or her supervisory power over my life. Like CHOP.

Funny one. First play the Muslim Call To Prayer to attract him to drift inside , almost in a trance. Then people will mob him tearfully and excitedly touch his garments and praise him. Beg him to run for a third term with a quickly passed emergency national constitutional amendment. With anti-Trump military chiefs backing him up.

Not just stupid, but inexcusably ignorant. If she just looked at the history of occupations like this, except far less serious, there isn’t a one that hasn’t had to be ended by force, either passive or active. Passive force would be closing off the area and active would be entering it and physically removing the occupiers. The big difference between this and its predecessors is the terrorists have actually formed a rudimentary soviet and are governing a group of people who’ve had no say in the takeover. That’s very headdy stuff for the terrorists, not something they’ll voluntarily surrender, especially when they’re the ones with the guns.
