What you should know about Joe Biden’s 1994 crime bill

... speech Biden gave on the Senate floor on November 18, 1993, in which he stated about criminals, “I don’t want to ask, ‘What made them do this?’ They must be taken off the street.” Biden argued that the country needed to be tough on “predator” criminals, while acknowledging the many at-risk children in America.

“Unless we do something about that cadre of young people, tens of thousands of them born out of wedlock, without parents, without supervision, without any structure, without any conscience developing … because they literally have not been socialized. They literally have not had an opportunity. We should focus on them now. Not out of a liberal instinct for ‘love, brother and humanity’ – although I think that’s a good instinct – but for simple pragmatic reasons: if we don’t, they will, or a portion of them will, become the predators 15 years from now.”

What I remember the most about the "Crime Bill" was the so-called "Assault Weapons" ban.

It cost the Democrats the House.

And this was after the Waco massacre, which began as a massive gun control stunt.

This is what happens when Democrats get power. But, to be fair, even when Republicans are in office, they do little to nothing to boost our gun rights.

Newt Gingrich and the NRA says “thank you Mr. Biden”, because the crime bill you wrote, helped us gain the Senate & House in 1994.

Also Biden is a dual national who voted in at least one Iraqi election, after we invaded and conquered that country.

During 1990, Joe Biden coauthored and introduced The Gun-Free School Zones Act (18 U.S.C. § 921 (a) (25)), to The Senate. How many have died in his “gun free zones” since?

Nothing wrong with what he said, only the Liberal “solutions” did not solve the problem that comment admitted - “tens of thousands of them born out of wedlock, without parents, without supervision, without any structure, without any conscience developing”.

It sort of worked on the back end - put 1/4 of black males from the inner cities in prison - but even that extended the original source problem on the front end - the black family. Then money to subsidize the growth of low-income family dependencies taxed the economy instead of growing the economy to help it deliver more jobs, at every income level.

Presumably he no longer claims to believe that. Whatever he really believes is anyone’s guess.
