The warplanes, a mix of at least 14 MiG-29 fighters and Su-24 fighter-bombers, appear to have taken off from a base in Russia sometime in the middle of May and flown to Hmeimeem, Russias airbase on Syrias Mediterranean coast. There they were repainted, their Russian Federation Air Force markings obscured, before flying more than 1,200 miles and landing in eastern Libya, in territories controlled by Russias ally, strongman-in-waiting Khalifa Haftar.
The deployment, which the Pentagon revealed last week and Moscow denied, is the latest in a series of escalations that have seen all types of weapons Turkish and Emirati drones, Russian anti-aircraft systems, Jordanian-made armored vehicles enter Libyas Mad Max-like battlefields, in often-blatant disregard of a nine-year-old arms embargo.

That makes it of even more strategic importance, per post 3.
Like it or not, the Russians are doing the West a favor by going after Libya’s Islamist GNA. And it is battling Erdogan’s effort to reinstall the Islamic Caliphate in Libya. The claim that Russia is supporting the LNA in order to gain control of Libya’s petroleum resource is a weak argument, both at this moment and likely into the future. Russia is drowning in oil and has been unable to work with Saudi Arabia to reduce production and put a floor under the oil price. If the EU did not want a Russian presence in the Med it had its chance to force an outcome favorable to it. Now, the only European country (Russia is truly Asiatic) to back the LNA is France, and it does so only half-heartedly. Most Americans are unaware that there is one hell of a war going on in Libya and the outcome is still in doubt.
#4. Puts Malta within range of Libyan/Russian guns and missiles. Happened before.
Russia in Syria controls a lot of the eastern Mediterranean Sea.
Time or Manpad missiles to our “allies” in Libya thru whoever is helping them. Make it another Afghanistan Stingerfest in which the Soviets/Russians not only lost about 60 mixed aircraft (planes and helicopters), but also air dominance and mountain-top Spetnaz landing places.
History is very interesting. Please try reading some of it from the geo-strategic point of view.

I have been saying - Keep an eye on Libya. They must join in alliance with Gog of Magog for Ezekiel 38. Of course, Libya was buying MiGs a long time ago under Khaddafi.
Ezekiel 38:5-6
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
Ezekiel 38:13
13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
Persia - Iran
Gog of Magog - Russia (IMHO)
House of Togarmah - Turkey
Phut or Put - Libya
Protesting the Ezekiel 38 invasion:
Sheba and Dedan - Saudi Arabia
[To prophecy watchers. Isnt it interesting that the two-bit minor league nation Libya is even catalogued alongside anti-Israel lmajor powers. Ezek 38:5]
Ah. Thank you for paying attention! Good job!
Thank you. There are other things going on in the world and it’s important to remember that.
It's not that they don't see or understand. They're probably Russian trolls. Should come as no surprise to anyone that the Russians would have people trolling a site like this, advancing their agenda, passing along such BS that Hillary was some sort of "enemy" of Russia, when she and Obama in fact went to great lengths to STRENGTHEN Russia; there was the Russia-favoring New Start nuclear treaty, missile defense, the Putin-loving Iran Deal, the Obama-Hillary Uranium-One deal. Plus they did all this as they practically dismantled OUR military!
Everything keeps moving towards fulfillment.
I began mentioning the Libya move a couple of years ago(?). Too many posts to go back and find it now.
I expect Libya to be “sympathetic” with Iran vs. Israel. Muslim Brotherhood-style.
” They’re probably Russian trolls. Should come as no surprise to anyone that the Russians would have people trolling a site like this, advancing their agenda”
There definitely are Russian trolls here - I’ve called them out in the past. I don’t think usurper is one of them.
White liberals may be sympathetic, but there is no way they are going to consent to letting blacks rob and kill them without being punished.

I work in public education at an “at risk school”. I hate to break it to you, but it’s been happening for quite some time. We get the kids recycled back into schools who rob and and vandalize (even while armed) when the penal system finds it too expensive to jail them. The general public does not even realize how negligent their judicial/penal system is. I pray that they wake up soon.
Now imagine they are ‘unloading’ something similar on cartels and BLM.
What for? You can’t leverage unimportant goals against someone’s important goals this way.
Khalifa Haftar's yearlong Tripoli offensive against the Ankara-backed Government of National Accord (GNA) began to collapse. Believed to have been supplied to the Libyan strongman as early as last year by his backers [Iran's stooges] in the Gulf, the Russian system was meant to be used as a trump card against Turkey's combat unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) air interdiction operations... Analysis of open source data has estimated that up to 9 Pantsir units were lost in quick succession to UAV strikes during May, with footage of the strikes going viral on social media. To add insult to injury, a tenth Pantsir system was dramatically captured by GNA forces, and to great fanfare paraded through Tripoli as a war trophy. It is speculated that the captured Pantsir's final fate is to be picked apart for intelligence purposes.Libya: A Catastrophe for Russia's Pantsir S1 Air Defense System
