Hope it does not blow up....
What time is the actual launch?
Where can i see a live feed?
At your local Tesla Dealer
Weather permitting, right around 4:30EDT
Thank you!
Bkmk for later
Link in the double posts above yours. It’s pretty good because they break up the screen so you can see the boosters landing while the main craft is still going. They also have a mission timeline ticker going so you know what part of the process it is.
NASA TV will also have it but I’ve never watched one. https://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html#public
I’ve watched youtube videos of past SpaceX launches.
This is probably my favorite video of theirs, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbbSCqaeWyA
Shows the two booster rockets from a recent Starlink launch landing simultaneously. These land on land but the ones that land on the ocean drone platforms are pretty cool too.
Right now line of showers passing over to be followed by strong storms until after 5p. then next round looks like it will start around 630p. Don’t know where that leaves them for a good launch window. Showers and storms pass through until Monday
But putting someone else in the capsule, isnt much risk for him.
That’s not what it is about, the measure of Musk’s personal risk. Besides one doesn’t just hop into a capsule and launch without years of training and conditioning. Snowflake-ism is everywhere these days. Pioneers die - that’s the way it is. Nothing worth doing is risk free.
Its easy to take risks when you get 5 billion in gov subsidies.
Just dont call it brave or risk taking if you dont truly have skin in the game, physically or financially.
Thunderstorms predicted until 5
And today, boys get excited about _______________?
I am about halfway through the Musk bio that came out in 2015. He’s quite a guy. Very driven and smart, not the nicest. He put in many many millions of his own money into Space X and Tesla and he deserves the accolades.
“If Musk would ride one to the space station, it would go a long way to demonstrate how safe it is. But putting someone else in the capsule, isnt much risk for him.”
Yeah, if he rode one into space that would go a long way. But, while he’s not the brightest guy around, he’s not that dumb.
I agree—I would be a big fan of Musk if he did it with all private capital.
Instead of being a symbol of what private markets can do, he has become a symbol of kleptocracy in action.
Bump.
I sure hope we don’t have to wait until Tuesday for it to clear.
The wuhan death virus response by many Americans suggests that risk (at least for them) is never a desired situation. Their fear is what drives them to at all costs seek “safety”. They are even willing to give-up their Freedoms to achieve at least an illusion of safety. Pathetic.
Just depends on their launch window parameters - night launch maybe, or just a postponement until 530p when there seems to be an hour long break in the storm cells
