In a similar way, face masks are tied to the political conflict over our response to the coronavirus. Those who lean left politically tend to see the virus as a more dire threat; those on the right are more likely to downplay its seriousness or compare it to less deadly strains like the flu, often following the lead of conservative politicians.
Accordingly, masks may be seen as a marker of political loyalty, triggering feelings of us-versus-them. A politically liberal person may assume that someone wearing a mask is on their team, while those who dont wear masks must be Fox News-watching Republicans. The anger they feel is not simply about the mask, but about believing the non-mask wearer is a certain type of person.

Masks,,,
Not a big deal
.
Okay.
Same here. This is out of respect for the rules imposed by the private business (even if their edict is coming from the government). If I don't like the rules, I don't have to shop there. If I want to buy food at that store, then I need to wear the mask while I am in their establishment. The mask comes right off immediately upon exiting the store, and I do not wear a mask anywhere else, but I respect anyone else's decision to do so, as long as they don't try to impose their irrational, fear-based behavior on to me and mandate that I wear a mask outside.
If you are scared or compromised, then stay home and let the rest of us live our lives. If you choose to go outside, then accept the risks and steer clear of those of us without masks if it makes you feel safer.
ChiCom Cootie
Inhibitor Device
.
Exactly.
Ummmm
Weak because they ARE! And so easily duped
Weak? Yeah, weak minded.
How long did it take for some to start making money on these questionable aids.....?
Yeah, dont live in VT. Sorry.
Yeah, dont live in VT. Sorry.
Yes, and then the mark of the beast.
I used to deal with CFOs who said if we gives refunds to people, pretty soon everyone would want refunds. M
Its that kid of i idiotic logic that had us sending troops to Vietnam and Iraq.
It didnt make sense then and it doesnt make sense now.
ADA for shoes?
Should’ve followed her throughout the store and met her on every Isle.
I have no doubt you will employ this same stupidity when the TSA demands to see your vaccination certificate for Covid-19 before you get on the plane or before any other activity where the state can control you. Doing what you're told without a single critical thought is what thinking people do, right?
Last night our waiter pulled on his wet mask every time he came to our table to we could understand what he was saying. He did the same when talking to the cooks and again when talking to the bussers. All of them were engaged in touching their wet mask all evening long that they had been breathing in, sneezing in, and coughing in. I'll bet you think they washed their hands after every touch because some government official told them. Do you think the pathogens they applied to their hands from their masks ended up anywhere else in the restaurant?
Idiots acting with good intentions are still idiots. You need an electron microscope to see this virus. Anyone thinking a virus virion will be stopped by the cloth wrapped around your face is an idiot. Anyone thinking a virus will be stopped by that tiny gap between your mask and your cheek, where much of the air you breathe in and the CO2 you breathe out escapes, is an idiot.
Anyone comparing non-mask wearing people to drunk or a methed-out unbathed and urine-soaked raving homeless person, that is, deranged and not fully human is an idiot of galactic proportions.
Chicomm trolls firing up both sides, in my opinion.
I have everything needed except the ball cap with a gun maker logo. LOL! Gonna have to find one, have plenty of hawaiian shirts and various masks to go with them, I'm gonna see how many libtards I can trigger here in Hellinois.
Nutters that worry about vaccinations make actual conservatives look bad. You probably think Gates and Soros are part of some mark of the beast plot. When did being a constitution respecting individualist become a loony retard waiting for big brother or the Rapture.
Go down the rabbit hole of anti-vax, chemtrails and conspiracies everywhere if you want, just don’t complain when normal people look at you like someone who hasn’t wiped their ass in a decade.
I don’t think that mark is far off, but I know where I stand.
God bless you, you seem to have actual functioning brain cells which is more than most these days.
...Wisconsin this weekend, which was locked down. I went into a store, and probably 1/2 of the shoppers were wearing masks.

Guessing you were in the western side of the state, where I am, now. I saw maybe 1/3 wearing masks in La Crosse 2 1/2 weeks ago and in Vernon County, it was less, but go 2 counties east and in Adams-Friendship, maybe 10% wear masks shopping. Some workers must wear them. In Wood County, we ate inside and 1 customer was masked and no employees were. No stores I went to mandated them for customers. Cashiers rely on plexiglass shields. One situation, when 2 other participants in a closing saw us unmasked, they grinned and lost theirs. Went into a ma & pa and neither owner was masked.
Had a visit from friends from Burnett County yesterday. Late 50’s/no masks and they were on the road for 4 hours.
Another friend told us an RV resort in Eagle River had 2000 guests this weekend and another said The Dells was wide open last week.
While we couldn’t get haircuts or eat inside, most of rural Wisconsin traveled and many businesses stayed open w/reduced
service. SW WI has attracted a lot of progs
I have not been reprimanded once, anywhere, but I am one of the *vulnerable*, so maybe people still respect their elders. More likely, they figure if I’m not worried for myself, neither should they be worried, which is a correct attitude, IMO.
Idiot of
Galactic Proportions!
.
Love It!
It’s in your handle.
Where do you live that the unmasked are forbidden entry into grocery stores?
