Frankly, having all the good cops get fired for worrying about people’s rights is a good thing because that shuts down any question that the remaining cops are themselves the domestic enemies of the Constitution that the Founders worried about.

“I know that without the “THIN BLUE LINE” we would all be in DEEP trouble.”

I stridently disagree.

Without the urban police departments protecting the CRIMINALS the public would be free to arm themselves and protect themselves from those same criminals.

In every state that has adopted Constitutional Carry even over the objections of the anti-freedom police chiefs crime has gone DOWN.

I suspect that in many cities less police will mean less crime as more and more citizens are not hampered in defending themselves.

To be clear, I support most rural sheriff’s departments and oppose most urban police departments.

The abuses tend to happen in the police departments that are urban, Democrat, and militarized.

The Blue Wall of Silence

The term “Blue Wall of Silence” also known as the, ‘Blue Code” or “Blue Shield,” was first triggered in New York. It is an unwritten code which is generally defined as: “A rule among police officers not to report on another officer’s errors, misconducts, and or crimes when questioned about an incident of misconduct involving another colleague, during a course of an inquiry.”

I don’t think AG Barr will reinstate this guy. I’d like to see more push back. There’s no protests outside the police station today. Maybe somewhere?

You misunderstand AG Barr and the meaning of 18 USC § 242

18 U.S. Code § 242.Deprivation of rights under color of law
U.S. Code
Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or to different punishments, pains, or penalties, on account of such person being an alien, or by reason of his color, or race, than are prescribed for the punishment of citizens, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if bodily injury results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include the use, attempted use, or threatened use of a dangerous weapon, explosives, or fire, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.

Never even heard of this meadsjn. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. It’s all over my head. If he’s reinstated I’ll be surprised is all I’m saying.

That the officer verbalized good reason is one thing but he was still fired. Legal or not he’s fired. Personally, I liked what he said.

Megan: you are delusional.
Go visit those third world sewers where there are, de facto no police. See the chaos that is the THIRD WORLD.

You obviously HAVEN'T traveled beyond U.S. malls. I have. We LIVED in the Middle East five years and know what REAL poverty is. There are sights, sounds and SMELLS (omygawd) of poverty that you would never, ever, ever forget.

However, I'm POSITIVE that, never having stepped outside this fabulous country of ours, you KNOW everything about countries with no police, with dictators, with military juntas ruling, etc.; so stay in your ivory tower, NEVER step foot outside this country and WALLOW in your ignorance and recalcitrance.

.

Pax tibi.

Lol. "STRIDENT"?! Yes, that seems to be you. It is a MOST unflattering description of yourself, but you wouldn't know that using the word as you did.

God bless you, dear.

It’s the smells that get me. I could be watching some show, war or just a slum, an alley of death and despair and I can never forget the smells. If people could smell the horrors, the decay, the rot, the fear, the death there would be less crime, less war.

Sorry, tangent, but I needed to write that

I'm with you. You are 100% correct.
NOTHING brings home poverty like the STINK. I didn't always think that way until I breathed in that wretched stench/odor: POVERTY.

It's unmistakable, isn't it?

People might and might not change. That kind of experience can affect people in any number of ways.

Nothing wrong with tangents! This is the FREErepublic.
