America Together: Returning to Work President Trump Virtual Town Hall(Live Thread)
Fox News ^ | Fox News

Trump to take questions in Fox News virtual town hall at Lincoln Memorial amid coronavirus recovery As some states loosen lockdown restrictions and the nation's battered economy begins to recover, President Trump is set to participate in a Fox News virtual town hall from 7-9 p.m. ET at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., on Sunday night, entitled "America Together: Returning to Work." The event is set to be co-moderated by Bret Baier, Fox News' chief political anchor and executive editor of "Special Report," and Martha MacCallum, the executive editor of "The Story," featuring questions submitted by viewers on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. After what he called a "working weekend" at Camp David, Trump returned to the White House at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday. The president has faced a cascading series of challenges in recent days, including protesters in Michigan storming the state capitol to protest stay-at-home orders, reports that North Korea's leader was alive and healthy despite a CNN report that he was near death, and apparent discord within his administration as to the potential threat still posed by the coronavirus. Bombshell disclosures by the Justice Department, meanwhile, largely supported Trump's claims that FBI officials furtively worked to target some of his former top officials. Among other revelations, FBI communications made clear that top bureau officials discussed their motivations for interviewing former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn in the White House on January 24, 2017 -- and openly questioned if their "goal" was "to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired."

Do either of you have a Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, or Chromecast capable television? If so, you can download an “app” that lets you get more “channels.” One is Pluto TV with specialized content, but others with many cable channels in them include Fubo TV and Philo TV, as well, but these charge a fee for this access (but with Philo, it’s far cheaper than getting them through cable channels).

Here is a run down of major streaming options your television could stream:

...the most insulting question!
___________________________________________________

Trump has so much in common with Lincoln. They wanted to denigrate that. POTUS just did his wide-eyed, boyish thing, feigned ignorance and let everyone know who picked the venue (of course, so they could use it against him in some way).

“Lincoln is an icon. What makes you think _you’re_ in his league?”

Or something in that vein.

...why did Trump agree to do it this way?!

They didn’t lay a glove on him. He was gentle, transparent, did not rise to one baited question and turned everything into a campaign talking point.

When Mnuchin and Pence were there, there was no daylight between them, either.

I hope they’re “on the record”.

If a state/locality gets the advantages of an ‘international’ airport, then it should bear the cost of checking that harm is not coming through it. Like
China’s coronavirus.

"Trump needs to do one of these on OANN."

Sean and Laura or Carlson and Sean could combo their two hours and have an excellent town hall. They would probably ask some tough questions - I would expect them to - but they wouldn't be agenda driven and it would be primarily positive IMHO.

If the tariffs are hurting your business here in the USA,....

...then perhaps you can find alternative suppliers here in the USA.

Anyone in the restaurant (was it a restaurant owner? I didn’t catch the business.) business who can explain why this questioner is buying from tariffed countries? Or was the implication that tariffs are ultimately paid by the end user consumer? I don’t think that’s true.

...figure out how all this streaming stuff works.

I’m a dummy, but it was pretty straightforward.

Buy Roku (inexpensive).
Set up account online.
Follow online directions, mainly enter code from TV into computer.
Subscribe online to whatever you want and usually also enter code.
Pay monthly via credit card. 1 device: $9.98

Any problems, you can just search online for answer and so far, there has always been one easy to implement.

Then why is Abbott telling restaurants 25% which is not worth the trouble. Disappointed in Abbott.

I’ve been able to get answers to most of my ignorant question through online search. Just make your question very specific. There are a lot of user forums that come up, too.

It helps to see other people as clueless as I’ve been.

Come on, Levin, Hannity and Laura are not reporters...they are opinion show hosts. This is supposed to be a news town hall w/ reporters asking questions. Do we really want Fox, or any other network playing softball w/ Trump? That’s the same thing we complain about with CNN, MSNBC, etc., when interviewing Dems. Trump’s a big boy and can handle himself against the media...and as far as his answers, he stays on message and says many the the things we’ve heard him say because we’ve watched him over and over again for the past three weeks while he’s led a largely dysfunctional, slow, bloated, federal govt with plenty of anti-Trumpers in the ranks to respond incredibly well to support the states (who are also dysfunctional and several Gods openly hostile). Also in light of a public health community who don’t care one whit about the economy all while balancing the needs of the public’s health and not driving the country over a cliff. He’s there for those who haven’t watched the daily pressers and get their “news” from fake news sources or social media (largely one in the same).

If I were a Texas restaurant owner I’d just open up. You’re rarely at a hundred percent anyway. Does some busybody walking by look in and count noses and go look up your capacity and complain? Doubtful. And if the cops come by just say oh sorry and reduce your tables.

Back to work y’all

Since it was genetically modified, it doesn’t have a base pattern like the flu that it sticks to as it spreads. Instead, it weakens continually.

Does being GMO change virus mutation patterns? All viruses mutate, mostly to less lethalness so it can live without wiping out the host species.

I always think it’s like plant hybrids, where the seeds breed proportionately to the parent genomes. While I thought true GMO plants were sterile, which is why you can’t save seeds?

That’s what I don’t understand. How are the restaurants going to enforce this. They are all scared of being sued by the scared crazies that need to stay home. I will not wait in line for 2 hours to get in a restaurant.

Anyone watching Mark Levin’s show?
His guests (Brent Bosell is one of them) are awesome, really going after the media for their RIDICULOUS anti-Trump bias!
