Hong Kong Flu estimated to kill 100,000 in 68-69. Obviously a bigger pop now. That is the comparison, not WW2. It’s insulting. Politicians want it as an excuse to spend money without scrutiny.
If we’ve faced larger pandemics than China virus in the time frame 1945-2018, clearly it is not on par with World War II.
