So the idea here is they break it up into 5 groups and set a limit of no more than 20% of weekly shoppers on any given day. They’re trying to even things out and avoid peak on weekends.

The psychological effect this has is that people will now go every single time they’re ABLE to go, for fear that if they miss one day, then it will be 10 days between trips.
As a result, those who shop only once every 7 days will now go every 5 days. This is the opposite of the desired effect.
But the bureaucrats know best.

No one really likes going to the groceries, but if you put people in a situation where they are going to starve if they miss their designated day for any reason, then of course they are going to buy more than they need and hoard food.

Yep, When Hurricane Sandy tore up Staten Island they enforced odd / even license plate gas days...But that was due to Gas shortages...Calvert County Md appears to be fairly upscale so they might get away with it..They wouldn’t fly everywhere ...people are getting fed up...
