Two years ago we had a fellow softball player with no family die in his home and he laid in the morgue for 15 days before we were able to look at his league waiver where he listed the name of a niece to be notified in the case of an emergency. We notified the Troy police department and they followed up on it. She claimed the body and held the funeral and reception afterwards.
I found that to be ironic since homer was a cheap ass communist and atheist. With the reception being held at a bar/restaurant, the players who attended splurged on the food and drinks and to this day, they praised Homer for finally breaking down and providing food and drinks for the rest of us since he would never do anything of the kind following our games at the picnic table where someone might buy a pizza and share some beers.
Just a week before his death, one of the guys at the picnic table bought a couple pizzas for the guys and "Nick the shoeman" said to Homer: "When are you going to break down and buy some pizza for us?"
Homer responded: "Over my dead body"....LOL!
We still joke about it to this day......
It should be noted that the niece and nephew were the only two in his will and received a very sizable inheritance from that cheap ass bastard........
My grandfather is buried in an unmarked pauper’s grave.
I know the cemetery, and the section, but not which grave.
First hand info from someone whose family died in NYC.
AKA second hand info
AKA false info
Hmm, I’ve been looking for a deserted island.
No, it is not false. It was our assistant pastor’s dad who died, it is first hand, so take your crap elsewhere.
Guess...Put your fear spreading on hold and get back to your lying friend.
Then, come back and correct your BS.
It was our assistant pastor’s dad who died, it is first hand...
Go back and read that.
That's second- or third-hand.
Stop.
What are you, a flubro? People are not allowed to die from the COVID because it messes with your favorite scenario of “it is just the ‘flu.”
That is sick. You are sick.
What are you, a flubro?Nice strawman. Why are you deflecting from the issue?
Quit lying.
Better yet, give me the name of the deceased, then I'll find the truth. Go ahead.
You call this first-hand, but you probably don't know the name of the person.
So a good reporter has to experience an incident for the incident to be true? Witnesses do not matter?
What’s fake about it?

Normally, about 25 bodies a week are interred on the island, mostly for people
whose families can’t afford a funeral, or who go unclaimed by relatives. But
recently, burial operations have increased from one day a week to five days
a week, with around 24 burials each day, said Department of Correction
spokesman Jason Kersten.
The island may also be used for temporary interments should deaths surge
past the city’s morgue capacity. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner
can store about 800 to 900 bodies, while about 4,000 can be stored in
refrigerated trucks dispatched to city hospitals.
Ed Gein’s version of Disneyland.
You don’t even know the name of the person, do you?
I am not going to name the person here it is a privacy issue. I do not even use MY real name here, why would I give another’s name without permission?
You dont know the name.
Listen, newbie, go away. I do NOT give out names. Neither my family’s or a name of the father of a family friend. Beat it.
You are still trying to change the subject, because you dont know the name.
Still waiting for that name.
Or an admission that you don’t know it.
I know it. None of your damn business.
Standing by for you to come to your senses.
