I was hoping to get a dinner salad from one of our local restaurants to help support them, but of course we can’t go now. :(

Gotta run. Been having trouble getting to sleep before midnight.
So, need to get off of electronics and get relaxed.
Y'all have fun.
I'll catch up with some of you in the morning.

Have fun Hangin' at the FReeper Cafe.

Be safe out there.
To our military and allies: thank you for all you do.
Good night.

My week has been great. I have this stay-at-home down to a fine art, having been retired for 3 years. LOL!

Glad your week is not full of drama. That would suck. :)

I love the orderliness of Mozart.

I love little Sontinas too. Reading is a struggle for me as I played by ear for over 40 years and only taught myself how to read in the later part of my life. The Clementi Sonatinas were my “lifeline” learning how to read, so I have a special place in my heart for them. I also love two Sonatinas by Beethoven, One in F and the other in G (really easy), and of course, the first movement in “Moonlight” and the slow movement in “Pathetique”.

And so, while these pieces made be part of the standard curriculum, they are a new adventure for me.

And I am always open to a new adventure! But, once my brain hears “how it goes”, my fingers want to just play without focusing on the sheet music. That’s why I have to keep playing new stuff that I haven’t heard before. That way my eyes HAVE to stay glued to the page.

I played the cute little Opus 49s of Beethoven at age 8.

I played the entire Opus 13 (Pathetique) in recital around age 11.

Stay glued to the page. Beethoven was quite particular about how he wanted the keyboard used.

All the self-serve salad and olive bars are shut down in the grocery store. That means I have to make everything from scratch! (Heaven Forfend!)

My favorite thing to make for dinner used to be “RESERVATIONS”. LOL

Yes. I noticed that. His dynamic markings, pedaling, and so on are very meticulously marked.

She was the wife of the local Methodist minster and an organist by trade. She was adequate to the task, but it turned out that I had more talent than I thought.

By the time I wrapped it up at age 15, my last recital included the Chopin Fantasie-Polonaise and the Fantasie-Impromptu.

Ah...those are impressive pieces of music!

I came up through the music world a little differently. I had such a mean, nasty teacher, that I quit after less than a year. Then I picked up a guitar and played that for years. I went back to keyboard when I was about 27 when the little church I went to needed an organist. I was in several bands that did my original songs which I arranged by ear. Then I got into multi-track producing and MIDI arranging on keyboard. I didn’t actually start playing piano and “the Literature” until I was a half-century old and had been “in the biz” for most of my life.

All my education was aimed towards Graphic Design and Fine Arts.

Music was my first love though.

In my teens I was a good third rate pianist. Sloppy fingering. Too much pedal. But I could sight read almost anything.

Even after an hour of warming up, I barely qualify as fifth rate today.

Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...all was white when I got up this morning and has been snowing all day. But....it’s been above freezing all day, so the street and driveway have no snow. They are just sloppy wet as it continues to snow.

Were you and Penny able to walk today? Any signs of spring?

Good girl...throw her over the cliff. I HATE this snitch mentality!

Good evening, Pro....great cartoon.

Are your 2 weeks of no work over, or will you have to extend because of the shutdowns?
