Cold and rainy in Northern California for the past month. Santa Clara County has been yucky, and it’s a hotspot.

We just haven’t seen much sunshine.

I’m hoping my husband and daughter already had it. Both of them were really sick in February. My daughter had pneumonia. Husband didn’t have pneumonia but lots of trouble breathing. Both went in antibiotics and hubby went on Prednisone.

We are in San Jose, so I think it could have been around.

Suggest the Sunshine vitamin D3 (>5000IU and (10,000IU for a short few days)). Do a search on the benefits. Will assist/boost your immune system, and elevates your well being (combats SAD).
As for another UV rays application...I have installed an air purifier with UV light on my HVAC.
Prayers to you and yours for increased well bring.

An older sister was on Prednisone (and some other meds) twice, 2nd time on a higher dosage - February into March. First high fevers, chills, a bad cough and hard breathing. The fevers subsided but the cough grew worse - consistent and nonstop. She went to bed half sitting up many nights and didn’t sleep. She tried to get Kaiser to give her the Covid19 test; they refused, three times, even after a few weeks and having to increase her medicine. She is O.K. now, but the cough lingers as an occasional and diminishing cough. Her daughter works for the sheriffs department and comes into secondary contact with prisoners via the department people she is in contact with. She was sick first and likely brought it home to her mom. She kicked it in about two weeks and went back to work, by then her mom was sick too. Her department tried to get a Covid19 test for her but couldn’t get one. They said they could only if she had to be hospitalized. Hope that is no longer the case in California. They live in southern California. Case numbers don’t look as bad there as in a S.F. area. Both my sister and her daughter get the flu vaccine religiously and every year they still get some sort of cold with a URI.

“But we went into shelter in place quicker; we got people apart quicker,” Greene said. “That could be a contributing factor …

Cuomo is doing little. His approach is to read pre prepared powerpoints every day. Then he complains that Trump is not a monarch with dictatorial powers.

The lack of testing to me is the biggest failure of the pandemic. I’m not sure who to blame. Ultimately Trump, but what happened at the CDC? I feel like Trump trusted them too much, and they screwed up.

I think you are right.

As for the CDC/FDA Trump was to be damned if he did, and damned if he didn’t follow their advice and direction - they are the designated experts in the “health and disease” branch of the deep state. Either way the media was set to blame Trump.

I think he will be O.K.

He avoided a nasty public fights with some big federal agencies, with all their minions and their millions of true believers in them.

ONCE the outbreak has ebbed, and the nation gets back to work, THEN and only then Trump needs to fire some folks.
