You might want to share that fact with Indonesia.

It could be that the weather in NY is more conducive to the virus, or NY could be testing a lot more.

Here, we know there have been cases but the testing hasn’t reached our county. In the state and town my GD lives they are able to test 3 a day, we are in the SW.

I don’t think that is how you get infected.

HOW YOU GET INFECTED:

It starts by an infected asymptomatic person in a commuter train, or store, waiting room, touching door knobs, handles, or any other object. Then you touch the same spot and the virus attaches to your hand. Then before you have a chance to wash your hands with soap, you scratch your nose, or rub your eyes or eat something with your hand. Now the virus cells are in your body.

At that point depending on your strength of immune system, wither the virus wins or your body wins.

Indonesia is in the Tropics. It’s humid year round, and there are no real seasons.

Did you notice the virus has spread faster in places where people use more public transportation?

Californians are out side more for recreation than are New Yorkers at that time of the year.

Warmer and dryer in California.
And sunnier (UV).

CDC says "The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person:
• Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
• Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes."

But it doesn't say what happens when you are within six feet of another person.

Personally (and speaking as a lay person), I don't think there is a huge cloud of shedding virions around people. It requires a cough or sneeze and droplets or aerosol. So just passing an infected person with an air gap would probably not be a transmission vector. But brushing up against another person or that person's backpack, purse, briefcase, etc could be a vector. The virus does like to hide out in clothing and cloth.

Even so, whatever you do, it probably pays to steer clear of this guy...

“Early on as Cuomo and deblasio gave trump the finger so did the NYC health commissioner, ride the trains, frequent the restaurants, don’t stop living your lives
THESE PR##S ARE ALL RESPOSIBLE FOR THE DEATHS AND SICKNESS AND NY NOW BEING THE EPICENTER”
———————
I certainly hope that President Trump quarantines NY, NJ, and part of Connecticut, as well as other epicenters, and specifically calls out these people and their criminally negligent behavior in ignoring and flouting all the warnings. Cuomo, DeCommio and the NYC Health Commissioner are responsible for a lot of misery and death, and shouldn’t be able to escape a thorough review of their statements and actions.

Speaking of spraying things, I spotted this at the Charleston Slough in Mountain View, California a few days ago. They've sprayed for mosquitoes in the slough in prior years, so I suppose that's what they are spraying for again. But still, it makes you go "hmmmm..."

It’s pointless to look at population density for a STATE. The vast majority of California is empty space. The same is true for New York State. DC is a metro area with almost no empty space.

You want to look at cities or metro areas.

“It’s pointless to look at population density for a STATE.”

You only get DC if you post states.
I posted states, then cities, then NY boroughs.

Try not to read just one post before responding. Look through the thread for follow ups before calling someone out.

Sorry. I usually count on each post to have all relevant data, not to have it scattered among multiple posts.

Yes, there was a post the other day about that, and reusable cups and straws and shopping bags, all the thing the liberals virtue signal with are dangerous spreaders of germs.

Warmer and dryer in California.

Depends on where you live in California. In the north eastern part of the state where I live, it is still snowing. Lows in the teens & 20s. California isn't all beaches and palm trees.
