Fact checker gives Biden video four Pinocchios for claim top CDC official was 'silenced'
The Hill ^ | 03 24 2020 | Joe Concha

The Washington Post's "fact-checker" column awarded four Pinocchios to a video tweeted out by 2020 Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden that claimed that a top Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) official had been "silenced" amid the coronavirus crisis.

Tuesday's fact-check, which concluded the claim was "simply wrong" and created a "false narrative," came after the former vice president tweeted an informational coronavirus video that included Ron Klain, a former Biden aide who served as President Obama’s Ebola czar in 2014 Ebola.

In the video, Klain alleges there was "immediate blowback" after Dr. Nancy Messonnier, "a career official at the Centers for Disease Control who was the first to raise the alarm" on the coronavirus threat, was sidelined by the Trump administration.

“Starting the next day, Dr. Messonnier no longer appeared at public briefings of the White House coronavirus task force. The president and the White House sent a clear message to scientists in the government — there would be a price for speaking out and speaking up," Klain claims.

Biden has become the 21st century’s Max Headroom. Just a computer generated image reading a script. Max was much more fun though.

Really?

I recall that the Obama administration took a long time to respond to the Ebola situation. Not that Ebola was ever a pandemic threat (there is now an Ebola outbreak that has barely made the news), but the size of that particular outbreak was problematic.

Furthermore, maybe Dr. Messonnier is too busy with Covid-19 related issues to be constantly presenting at pressers?

My son likes Neil DeGrasse Tyson, but I find him annoying when he strays away from talking astrophysics. Yesterday, he was in a panel where everyone was talking about how inadequate the response to Covid-19 is. Seriously, Dr. Tyson? What do you know about infectious disease tracking, identifying a pandemic, proper infection control measures, etc.? The government has been working according to its long-established pandemic plans--do you even know what those plans are, Dr. Tyson?

I wish leftists would stop criticizing just to be critical. If they would only weigh the facts... well, I guess they wouldn't be leftists if they did that.

Biden is desperate....he knows he needs to erase the name “Hunter” from his political history.....

And he desperately needs to shield the greedy Biden family from further scrutiny.....

The Bidens are lying-in-wait like common criminals to cash in bigtime.

BACKSTORY Hunter Biden was chronically unemployed and got tossed out of the Navy for drug abuse.....he owed for child support, and spent bigtime on strippers, drugs, prosties, according to divorce papers.

Nonetheless, sucking off his father’s political connections, loser Hunter scored bigtime, milking globalism for all it was worth.

Joe Biden used his political connections to sell his son to the highest bidders.....the entire greedy Biden family followed suit.

Politico published in-depth exposé on financial ties between the former VP’S younger brother, James, and a high-powered D.C. lobbyist.

<><> James Biden and his wife purchased an acre of land in the Virgin Islands for $150,000 in May 2005. A year later, James resold 1/3rd of that acre to Scott Green, a ‘national security lobbyist who formerly served a Senate staffer for Joe Biden. Green paid $150,000 for the land, even though tax assessed value was only $38,000. “In effect, James got their money back while keeping most of the land—recouping their investment in just 12 months.

Any money that Green may have lost through the deal was offset when Joe Biden became vice president.

<><> In 2010 Green and members of the lobbying firm he founded, “the Lafayette Group,” were frequent visitors at the Obama-Biden White House.

<><> Green’s ties to the Biden clan seemed to be especially beneficial. On April 11, 2010, the Lafayette Group was awarded two taxpayer-funded contracts from FEMA worth a total of $5.8 million.ed.

Other members of the Biden family did just as well.

<><> Biden’s brother, Frank, benefited from $54 million in taxpayer-backed loans to Caribbean nations heavily involved in real estate and solar power projects he was pursuing in the region. ...even though he lacked a background in solar energy or international real estate development.

<><> Similarly, Biden’s sister, Valerie, received millions in fees during the 2008 election. Valerie, was campaign manager for her brother’s failed presidential campaign that year; she paid her own consulting firm, Joe Slade White & Company, $2.5 million for its services.

“Damn the facts, my mind is made up, Trump is WRONG, he is LYING, he is thoroughly CORRUPT, and besides, he is BAD!”

We could have a little fun with this, you know. Like teasing a cat with a red laser dot light. So far they are only doing wheelies, but with a little encouragement they can be leaping up the walls to second-story heights.

They are getting pretty frenzied.

Shocking that the WAPO pointed this out. Sort of fits the “replace Joe with Cuomo” speculation.

Dr Fauci lied to the American people when he stated in a press conf that there was only anecdotal evidence that the quinine drug/ antibiotic treatment was effective

There is plenty of scientific research going back a decade to provide background to validate the efficacy of both the approach and its effectiveness

The docs who developed this were not just trying some random drug combs and got lucky. They were aware of the research and knew exactly what they were trying to accomplish.

And they succeeded

I personally think Fauci has a bit of arrogant Bureaucrat in him and does not like to be challenged and he is a political creature who lives in a world where ridiculing and resisting Trump is a daily pass time and sport.

Combine that with the fact the guy is 80 years and under mental and physical stress and he is not the best guy to have front and center when the cameras are rolling

Biden is the model Demom-rat that Senator John Kennedy, LA, was referring to when he said “Dems are too dumb to get through the birth canal!”.

Ron Klain is the guy who was in charge of pandemics for Obama, so he is probably as responsible as anybody for the CDC failing to buy a stockpile of 100 million masks, which was requested in 2009 after Obama used up most of the supplies for H1N1.
