Fauci was on Levin tonight, and gave a very complimentary review of working with Trump.
He said Trump asks a lot of questions and never goes against the science.
He defends the federal response actually better than Trump does.
I really do not see a problem with such a person refusing that drug.
The drug should actually have a warning to the effect that TDS sufferers might start to like Trump if they take the med and survive.
When Cuomo has to defend spending money on solar panels instead of ventilators, he wont look so well.
The gilead compound will still be used.
There are plenty of people who have allergies or medical reasons they can’t take one or both of the other drugs.
I’m allergic to Zpak. So that’s off the table for me.
I think it’s the question of asking Fauci the right question. He’s not a good communicator.
..his video is at that link
“Another crucial point the actor brought up was that he began taking his ‘drug cocktail’ prior to the onset of the virus’ signature fever.”
and btw, my comment still stands..you go to a dr and tell him your temperature has started to rise but it is not at the high level as seen with COVID...just as what happened with this actor..that Dr is not going to authorize the test.
I was quite elated to NOT see Fauci there!
I talked on the phone today with a nurse/friend in her 60's with TDS (thinks he probably doesn't know what a "virus" is). She insisted the hydroxychloriquine treatment was "anecdotal". I told her that was false, and gave her the details of the trial in France with drug names, number of patients and recovery rates, and also told her also there was a successful clinical trial in New York. She dismissed it all, couldn't be bothered by good news.
She's quite the apt candidate for your theory. By the same token, I wouldn't want to be her patient.
>>Once it really gets going, tracking becomes essentially pointless, and testing becomes either a forensic tool, or diagnostic-only.<<
You’re right. We’re obviously well past the point of bothering with tracking. Testing should be done on people coming down with symptoms to see if they have it, or if it’s something else. There’s no point in testing asymptomatic people. Once it’s widespread, everyone is going to be exposed at some point anyway.
I did read something interesting though. We should now start doing antibody testing on people and that test should be on everyone. That would tell us some valuable information, For example:
1. We’d see how widespread the virus really is because we’d pick up the undiagnosed cases that recovered without being tested.
2. People with antibodies to the virus could be moved to positions where they were in contact with others. This could be especially useful in the healthcare area. Caregivers who’d already recovered could be in the front lines dealing with patients and wouldn’t need all the protective gear, presumably.
3. Depending on how widespread it proved to be, we could conceivably end the social distancing and get the economy up and running again.
All humor aside, there are too many doctors right now with TDS. I have no doubt that their TDS would bias them from prescribing this treatment. At this time, only a doctor can prescribe the combination of these two drugs as an off-label use. They will end up killing people needlessly. This is where family members must step in and demand the recommended treatment whether is came from Trump or Biden/Pelosi/Schumer.
BTW - I have also received the same automatic “Fake News” reply from my own TDS afflicted family members.
