This is the helpful, informative message they are sending out of today’s conference. For all the millions who have been told to stay home in the last 24 hours (my son included).

Peter Alexander asked what the President should say to reassure the American people. Well let me tell you after that unprofessional display by Peter Alexander and the snarling faced female in the front row I was so distraught I had to get up and walk around the room. The level of hostility by the Press CorpS is extremely upsetting. 99.9% of the questions are gotcha questions asked by people who somehow feel that they are entitled and oh so much smarter than the rest of us.
Mr President please dismiss the Press CorpS from the briefing room due to the spread of China Flu spread concerns. I would appreciate your attention to this matter because otherwise I am going to pop a blood vessel and that is not at all reassuring.
I missed it, but just out of curiosity: How many times did CNN ask why he keeps calling it the racist “Chinese virus”? 90 or 100 times?
I'm thinking the same thing about Mike Pompeo. I actually like how he handles idiotic reporter questions better than Trump. Today, a report asked a stupid question and he just looked away and said: "I'm not going to answer that. Next question." I think that is way more effective that arguing with them.
Yes. Fauci did just fine today. He explained how that, even though he was hopeful about the drug treatments, it’s still too early to declare victory. That, in no way, contradicted Pres. Trump’s optimism on finding a successful treatment.
Fauci, in his best patient school marm voice, explained to the whiny snowflake reporter that we don’t need to or even want to test every American who wants one, and to do so would be a waste of time, money and resources, so quit bitching about not having tests for everyone. He said that they are coordinating so that everyone that should be tested will get tested.
Fauci is doing what a scientist does -- be skeptical until the data comes in (unless you're a climate "scientist", in which case, you run around with your hair on fire).
Nothing Fauci said contradicted Trump, but rather put his own view on it from a science standpoint. He also acknowledged that Trump was right to offer comfort and hope.
Of course the presstitutes won't spin it that way. They'll play up the angle that Fauci and Trump are at odds and that Fauci disagrees with Trump's views of the crisis.
Pompeo was great as well
i wish the White House would provide a summary of the substance of these briefings. Anybody know of such a thing and where to find it.
All I want are the important facts without all the posturing, thank yous, acvolades, spin and press BS.

I know, that’s what I was thinking. If he does these without the press then he gets accused of killing the first amendment. Hopefully the normal people in this country can see through the press’ shenanigans.
Good point and he didn’t target Barky. He targeted the bureaucracy, the deep state. The FDA and CDC were into research not health care and medicine. The US Public Health Service should have been in a leadership role. Their focus is public health, their quasi military organization is ready made for rapid decision making, they are located at Ports of Entry in large cities.
That flushing sound is more taxpayer money going down the crapper

I prefer Pompeo’s experience in the US Army, head of the CIA, US Representative from Kansas, Secretary of State and a no-nonsense, fighting, hard ass, who takes no guff and who takes names and kicks ass.
Pence is a good man but is too nice and they’d walk all over him. He’d be as bad as GW Bush.
