Gerald Vincent Bull (March 9, 1928 March 22, 1990[1]) was a Canadian engineer who developed long-range artillery. He moved from project to project in his quest to economically launch a satellite using a huge artillery piece, to which end he designed the Project Babylon "supergun" for the Iraqi government. Bull was assassinated outside his apartment in Brussels, Belgium in March 1990. His assassination is believed to be the work of the Mossad over his work for the Iraqi government.

High elevation firing leads to intense fire-support coordination conversations with the Air Force. While it’s probably classified, it would be interesting to hear how high that projectile flies in its trajectory.
Sometimes low-tech is better. Pound the enemy with cheap artillery as a demoralizing tactic.
Black smoke to hide the muzzle flash?
Excalibur 155 mm Precision-Guided Round
Why not rip the turrets off two of those vehicles anx plent them onto the Zumwalt destroyers.
Instant shore bombardment capability.
It’s not a cannon.
It’s a gun.
RIP Bull. He no doubt would have succeeded in a quest to launch suborbital payloads if given the funds.
Why? Seems like a bunch of missiles, ground to ground, or whatever would be a lot cheaper in the long run wouldnt it and a lot easier to move around and protect.
Ear protection is suggested.
The Russians are famous for putting all their artillery wheel to wheel and letting them go all at once for an extended period of time prior to an attack. They are not sophisticated or expensive artillery pieces but they do the job well.
Would like to see them do all the tests fired to the south...
Cool, but good luck getting any Excalibur rounds. They’re expensive as hell.

And would this make a good elk or moose round?
You know,
You have the Iranians, Kurds, Israeli’s, Libyans, Serbs, Russians, Islamic terror groups all killing folks on the sovereign grounds of European nations and they seldom get to offended or make a fuss about it.
They’ll scream loud if a US 117 years past violates their air space (Austria) while getting refueled (in day light), but Iran can whack a dude in broad daylight in Austria and you won’t hear a squeak from them.
Our Euro allies scare me. Look at Spain that was with us in Iraq and then after the Madrid Train station bombing pulled out.
They have big mouths, and they surely want to sell their shit and benefit from free trade. They need open airways, water ways, international intellectual property rights, the safety and security (stability) within their sphere of influence as well as have access to strategic resources, but they don’t want to spend not have the courage to take any sort of action to that end. However, they will shoot their mouth off to us, since we won’t bomb them.
