To be honest, the DNC has been suffering a slow rot for a long time. “Burning it down” because of Bernie, is a little dramatic.
When people claim that Sanders’ rise is not really that big of a deal and that he’s not as extreme as he’s being painted, they should read this NYT report carefully. Democrats aren’t making these kinds of plans over someone who’s just a skosh off their center. They know Sanders better than most, and they’re outright scared of putting him within voting range of the White House, enough to burn the party to the ground to stop it. That tells us all we need to know about Sanders.
I want to suggest again that any patriot living in an open primary state should vote for Bernie since President Trump has it in the bag. If we could get Bernie enough primary votes to make him the clear demwit winner we would assure not only President Trumps reelection but likely regain the house and pick up some senate seats. Wouldn’t it be nice too send Pelosi packing and be able to tell Romney and a few other RINO senators to STFU? Lets do it and get Bernie over the line!
If the Dem party had any concern at any time about Bernie, they would not have allowed him to caucus with or run as - a democrat. He's not a member of the democrat party.
The democrat party splitting along socialist/communist and non-socialist/communist lines could be an answer to prayer.

Either direction the democrats go is a win for conservatives, so I see no downside to this. Just makes Trump’s re-election easier.
However, don’t get complacent. I will still be working the phones on election day to get out the vote for Trump like I did in 2016.
I want to see the Dems sink Sanders, and him go third party and really wipe out the Dems.
Strategically, their move, if Bernie has the majority of votes, is to just throw in the towel - let him secure the nomination, grab some token black woman to decorate his ticket, and send them both out to absorb the electoral slaughter. Trump will win 45 or so states, but it will teach the hard socialist left in the party to STFU.

It may already be too late for that whether Sanders is the nominee or not. And they still have to answer the question, if not Sanders, then who? Because no one in the current pool looks like a reasonable answer to that question and time is ticking. It's a long way to November still but it's no longer a long way until July. The debate dogpile on Bloomberg gives us an idea of the probable welcome a late entry into the contest will receive and we've truly reached the point where Hillary looks like a valid alternative but hardly a winning one. Yes, it has come to that. The lunatics are running the asylum now and they're looking for a Chief Lunatic, not a compromise.
It cost hillary a big chunk of change the last election, bernies price has to be a lot higher now. The commie has found a lucrative new career.
Bernie Sanders, should he become president, will get to:
1. sign bills passed by Congress and
2. appoint judges that have no legal objection to baby-killing for convenience.
The only difference between Bernie Sanders and the rest of the Democratic candidates in terms of possible job performance will be that Bloomberg would probably fight and veto federal wealth taxation.
