Fox News host Tucker Carlson harshly criticized President Donald Trump for escalating tensions with Iran with the killing of a top military leader, saying the U.S. is “lumbering” into war.
Carlson commented on the news of Qasem Soleimani’s death as it was still breaking during Tucker Carlson Tonight Thursday evening. Carlson said the killing was undertaken unilaterally without debate and had been long desired by people seeking war with Iran like John Bolton.
“There’s been virtually no debate or even discussion about this, but America appears to be lumbering towards a new Middle East war. We have to say, it’s one that officials in Washington wanted for decades,” Carlson said. “Disgraced National Security Adviser John Bolton has made it his life’s mission to start a war with Iran and Bolton might be getting his wish.”

Tucker is a Libertarian, which is more a religious than political philosophy.

Military generals fighting and funding proxy wars in countries outside their sovereignty are in perilous circumstances at best. I doubt Norman Scwarttkopf would have lasted long with an entourage driving about Tehran?

Carlson has been in Washington too long.
It needs to understand that it cannot commit aggressive acts of war with impunity,that Iran will pay a price for every act it perpetrates.
Iran is controlled by Theocratic Islamo-fascists who are bent on taking Mecca and controlling it. They are getting desperate as the Iranian population now rejects them for economic reasons and reason of wanting a more free society.
President Trump was quite right in his actions. Whether there eventually be war with Iran is up to Congress if Iran continues to escalate its attacks on US personnel and US allies.
Tucker Carlson reminds of the affe4cionados of Neville Chamberlain touting “peace in our time” after meeting with Hitler to placate him.What we see now with Iran is somewhat similar. Carlson is on the wrong side of history which reveals how we need to confront international tyranny.
What happens in the next few months really depends on Saudi Arabia.
