Very good point. It’s obvious where it’s going.

And some people here still think the Dems are going to control the process. lol

Censure is explicitly, verbatim, UnConstitutional — it is what us known as a “Bill of Attainder” and would be declared UnConstitutional and blown away by any Federal Court within femtoseconds.

The back story In 2014 a cargo ship owned by McConnell's wife's family discovered by Colombian officials to have about 90lbs of cocaine on board. It was seized but charges were never filed.

In 2015 Blankenship, running for the WV Republican Primary referred to Mitch McConnell as Cocaine Mitch. He pretty much just made that statement and left that in one of his bizzar campaign ads. This was in the same ad where Blankenship made a statement that he went to prison for blowing up the coal mine.

Blankenship lost the primary, no surprise, and Mitch McConnell's campaign posted a meme with Mitch McConnell in place of Pablo Escobar from the show Narcos, with the caption "Thanks for Playing Don"

"IMO, Pelosi will hold the articles back in a gamble that she’ll flip the Senate in November, then, even should DJT prevail, he’ll be tossed out by a Democrat majority."

We know their game plan.

If they still need evidence to prove obstruction, then why did they file the charge of obstruction in the first place? Their pursuit of evidence AFTER formal charges have been made is a blatant admission that their obstruction charge has no basis.

This is like a prosecutor charging John Q. Smith with murdering his wife, then asking the trial judge to approve a search warrant of the Smith home ... so he can prove Mrs. Smith is dead.

The whole Democrat process is ass-backwards — at best.

The Speedy Trial Clause of the Sixth Amendment to the United States Constitution provides that “[i]n all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy trial”
The Clause protects the defendant from delay between the presentation of the indictment or similar charging instrument and the beginning of trial.

These Lawfare crumbs are not working for the people..... I’d like to see them named...

Can we not argue lack of DUE process? Again? I guess ‘speedy’ trial is not defined....

It sounds to me like he's backing her into a corner. The longer she waits, the more her base will become angry with her because they've wanted this from day one, and now Nancy's afraid to pull the trigger.

My thinking as well: Rock meet Hard Place. Hope it further infuriates her base (if that is possible).

Yes, he’s still impeached.

But impeachment by the House is inconsequential, except with regard to intangibles, such as reputation, legacy, and public perception. And when the impeachment is so obviously partisan, and so groundless, even the effect on public perception will be of little consequence.

President Trump will wear this impeachment as a badge of honor.

President Trump will wear this impeachment as a badge of honor.

He needs to daily/constantly wear a button... like one of those old-fashioned campaign buttons... that says something like: Impeachment By Criminals Honors My Presidency

or something like that

It would SO drive the media crazy.

Mitch is saying “Whatever. Get back to us when you’re serious. On to other business.”

Agreed.
She tried a last gambit to get the pro of smearing POTUS & posturing before the American people for weeks with out the Con of failing in the Senate process ignominiously.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating, my take (I’ll eat the requisite crow if wrong) is that this a last ploy to make her base think they are going to win in the end.
USSC is not going to release Grand Jury testimony for them to paw through.
