Rep. Blumenauer says he has approached Pelosi about this and said she indicated she's "considering it." He argued that a delay would allow the House to continue collecting evidence and possibly win favorable court rulings to advance their case.
Hey jihadis. We need her head taken off before we can find out what’s in it. Thanks.
that will work as well, but I like the idea of getting SCOTUS involved to put pressure
LOL. I’m enjoying the Trump rally right now. You might want to do the same.
I have no I idea what they will attempt at this point. I suspect Pelosi will be forced to take it to the Senate.
I'm of a mind he can beat the House with one hand tied behind his back. No need to use the SCOTUS tag team.
House wants to act stupid? The longer, the better.
Could this be about the Supreme Court? I can hear the battle cry now - “An impeached President cannot be allowed to nominate a new justice”
The other half of the Democrites get The Boats.
Electile Dysfunction? Theres a pill for that.
Congratulations!
Seems logical to me.
BTW - heard another theory about the timing of this (assuming it goes to the Senate for trial early next year). This came from a political analyst at one of the major Wall Street financial firms - the analysts are usually pretty plugged in since their job is to predict how markets will react to anything going on.
The theory is that Pelosi picked now for the impeachment - the reason didn’t matter, it’s about the timing. The Dem establishment wants a long trial in the Senate, because it keeps certain Senators from campaigning in the early caucus/primary states - specifically Sander and Warren. The Dem leadership is very concerned that if either of them get the nomination, Trump wins easy.
Pelosi is just trying to make it look like she has the power.
So she threatens to do something like this.
Who’s William Sessions?
Nailed it.
"As a dog returns to its vomit, fools repeat their folly" ...
The Leftists come right back to lap up the lies. Like Socialism, they think they just didn't get it right the last time - they just need to re-calibrate, then hurl it out once again the "right" way.
... 8 year...

Only if they keep the House.
1 year if they don’t and they will be supercharged to get it done before election day and in doing so will alienate another percentage of voters.
They do not have superpowers unless we let them.
Article I: “The Senate shall have the sole power to try all impeachments. When sitting for that purpose, they shall be on oath or affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no person shall be convicted without the concurrence of two thirds of the members present.”
SOLE...POWER...ALL...IMPEACHMENTS
It doesn’t say anything about Members of Congress participating in the Senate trial. They can, if the Senate invites them - but their work is done.
It doesn’t say anything about “sending Articles of Impeachment”.
There is an impeachment. It’s done. It’s a fact.
The Senate now has the power to try it. With or without House managers. With or without it being “transmitted”.
It is urgent national business for the file to be closed. It is the SOLE power of the Senate to do so.
The role of the House is over.
There is a bit of clerical protocol not in the constitution, just like conference committees aren't in the constitution.
I understand the direct rhetorical point, but it's not based in reality.
They won't do it. They do and all the republicans will flock together, even the scairdy little pansies like Linda G.
Then then Senate Repubs will drag out every bad news witness or expert to kick sand on the dems, and further will launch investigations of every Biden and every Biden associate, including and every last half-man, hairy-necked woman, and wide-eyed innocent child who didn't even know what the nasty old geeze was up to.
We can hope.
