Reporter and radio host Owen Shroyer was arrested after he confronted Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) and called the ongoing impeachment hearings a scam.
Footage provided by Banned.video
Shroyer, who hosts The War Room on weekdays, was arrested on Monday morning during a House Judiciary Committee hearing headed by Nadler, who said the House could vote on articles of impeachment against President Trump this week.
Jerry Nadler and the Democrat Party are committing treason against this country, and you can kick me out, but hes the one committing crimes! You are, Jerry Nadler! Shroyer yelled. Were not going to sit here and watch you run an impeachment scam and remove our vote!
Heres the arrest below: Twitter - Owen Shroyer Arrested for Exercising His First Amendment Rights
The arrest highlights a double standard in Washington, D.C., in which establishment-approved activists are allowed to confront congressmen in their faces, but a reporter like Shroyer is arrested for protesting a House representative from a distance.
So dont expect Time Magazine to write a glowing piece of Shroyer anytime soon.
Interestingly, Nadler is battling for media attention on the same day the long-awaited Inspector General report is expected to be released, which examined the FBIs actions in the early stages of Operation Crossfire Hurricane.
This story is developing.

What was his crime?
Speaking the truth?
Infocrap publicity stunt.
Of course you can’t interrupt a hearing like that without getting forcibly removed. He did the right thing.
Code Pink?
Back away from the atropine.
He wasnt arrested for calling the proceedings a scam or sham. He was arrested for creating a disturbance.
“Infocrap publicity stunt.”
I trust the reporting of InfoWars far more than I do yours. What outlet do you trust more, the NYT?
Concern troll.
The press stands with white liberal elites... the powerful. So yeah, there won't be any 'glowing' comments about the powerless... and our rights.
“What was his crime? Speaking the truth?”
No, disrupting a hearing.
He wasn’t acting as a reporter at that moment.
Didn’t matter what he was saying.
Audience is expected/required to remain quiet and observe the proceedings.
Freedom of speech does not excuse disorderly conduct. He’s free to say what he likes when it’s his turn at the hearing, or to say/publish what he likes to whomever wants to hear/read it.
What he said may be correct, but his means of saying it was inappropriately disruptive - hence the removal.
Very correct answer in you post. But if a citizen believes the hearings in question are extra-constitutional, does he have the “right” to intrude, say his words and be arrested? Just askin.
I think the reporter realizes that this “inquiry” is in fact a crime in progress. It is obstruction of justice to prevent the exposing of the crimes of Andrea Chulipa and Joe Biden in Ukraine during the Obama administration.

He has a right to file charges pursuant to due process.
He has a right to inform others of his view, in an appropriate forum.
Remember: sometimes our side holds hearings which the other side “believes are extra-constitutional” - do you approve of them disrupting such hearings? or do you want them to use the plethora of orderly means thereto, indicated by “Congress shall make no law ... abridging ... the right of the people peaceably to ... petition the government for a redress of grievances”? What this guy did was not “peaceable”.
The reporter is free to report those crimes. Never before has it been so easy for one to apply a “press” to distributing a message to so many so fast so cheaply. Nobody is going to silence him for his message (though he has no right to use another’s press to publish, nor to speak out of turn at a hearing).
I don’t care if this was disorderly conduct of not. Waddler and the demoncrats needed to hear it. Eff them.
Good points. But is there not a threshold where the government has become so non-responsive to the people’s ability to redress grievances that more direct action could be morally taken (per our Declaration)? Appreciate your comments, really want to know your thoughts. Thanks.
he was arrested, and charged, for this.
yet hillary has no been arrested, and charged, for leaking highly classified intel to the world. a jailable offense.
go figure.
The system is working.
Yes, the Left is trying to abuse “impeachment” to undo a lawful election.
Their hearings are showing the world how absurd their charges & evidence are.
Representatives are, in due order, are giving scathing criticism of the attempt - far more effectively than some barely-known yahoo heckling from the audience.
A formal vote is approaching - and those reps who will put their careers on the line must decide whether the accusation is valid ... with a growing number indicating they don’t.
Should an impeachment vote carry (growing doubt it will), the Constitution describes how that shall be acted upon; we see it will likely be disposed of quickly with prejudice.
House members are quite aware of the grievances we hold. They are evaluating accordingly.
The government is responding. There is a process, and it takes time. Be patient.
Should the issue result in Trump’s removal, I expect a rather large number of the more hot-headed proceed to ... redress grievances in a more kinetic manner per Jefferson’s advice.
I’ve been following such incidents for most of half a century. These “is there not a threshold” concerns are usually alleviated in due course. Patience, young Skywalker.
