Chris Pratt apologizes for posing with single use plastic bottle

Actor Chris Pratt on Wednesday apologized for posting a photo on Instagram of him posing at a gym with a single-use plastic water bottle in his hand after “Aquaman” star Jason Momoa called out his fellow Hollywood star.

Pratt posted the Instagram photo on Tuesday as part of a collaboration with Amazon.

This prompted Momoa to comment under “The Guardians of the Galaxy” star’s photo saying, “Bro i love you but wtf on the water bottle. no single use plastic. come on.”

Pratt apologized in response saying, "Aquaman! You’re completely right. Dammit. I always carry my big gallon size reusable water jug with me too. I even had it that day!!!"

I always separate those plastic bags I get at the store from my trash. Those sea turtles always like playing with them, so its a shame to throw them into a landfill.

Hahaha.

When I was about 10 years old I went with my older cousins to their friends house in Tin Town, Mo.
There was two brothers and they shared a room. Around the walls close to the ceiling was a shelf all the way around the room. The entire shelf was full of two liter bottles, all full. I asked what was in the bottles, answer tobacco spit. They would chew tobacco and spit in two liter bottles until the bottle was full, cap it and put it on the shelf.
Definitely hillbilly rednecks.

As for Chris Pratt and Jason whatever, get a life and real problems, bro...

Went to a Goodwill in Missouri this past summer. Purchased a couple of things. Cashier rang up my purchases, and thanked me. “Umm. Could I have a bag?” I asked. “Oh, we’re ‘bagless’, now. But you might find some used ones, there in that container by the exit.” Yeah, like I’m going to use a bag from who knows whose house, that’s had who knows WHAT in it. Plus the possibility of bringing home roaches, etc. Yuk.

I always carry my big gallon size reusable water jug

I belonged to a gym once and there was one guy who always walked around with a gallon jug. I could never figure out why unless he thought it made him look stronger.........His favorite exercise was dead lifts where he would squat, lift the "massive" weights (s) then drop them......Lift, BOOM !......lift, BOOM!.....that place sucked.

Nothing good ever comes from Twitter. Nothing. Why do these people think they have to put their whole life up for ridicule.

I have no idea if Pratt was being sarcastic, didn't want to cause a fuss over something silly or just caved but I will say that he takes a lot of grief for what his outspoken Christian beliefs.

Check out your favorite search engine for "Chris Pratt Christian" and watch a few videos, guy make have caved over a plastic bottle but he stands up where it counts.

I think Jason would get laid if he simply stood there without saying a word.

How can they be poisonous when I recycle them (other than when the putative recyclers just cart them down to the dump)?

Well, that actually heartens me, but you can understand why I and many other on here took it literally. Most Hollyweird people would have meant it sincerely.

John Lennon ran into the same thing with his “Beatles are more popular than Jesus” quote. He was actually astonished at it, amazed, and bothered. If you see the video of his “apology,” he is obviously upset (McCartney says he was VERY upset) and angry that people read his remark the wrong way.

I’m guessing by your smartphone-smuggered reply that the bottles could disintegrate and produce micro-plastics if subject to excessive heat or cold. Correct?

Pratt and Momoa are multimillionaires whose carbon and ecological footprints dwarf the great many viewers of their films.

A plastic bottle.

Cars, planes, jets, swimming pools (yes, Chris, you have one, a big one using lots of chemicals and power to filter it), massive footprints on movie sets not to mention the amount of power used to generate said set.

Constant travel, not by foot mind you, but by vehicles electric or not which still need power generation supplied by, you guessed it, in the main, fossil fuel.

Please, enough stupid virtue signaling. It is nauseating to listen to the chest thumping nonsense that passes for informed discourse.

*No wonder I don’t watch the “entertainment” they produce.

Their virtue signalling fetish makes me want to vomit

They're all a bunch of hypocrites anyway.

Some scenes from Better Call Saul have been filmed near where I work. At least 50 vehicles, two or three diesel generators, 100+ support staff, and the actors show up and they take three days for a shoot (one to set up, one to shoot, and one to take down) that, at most, is a 30-to-60-second scene in a TV show. They do that for each and every scene they film. That's a huge waste of resources, and yet they cry foul over a plastic bottle.

And live in a (much) smaller house while you’re at it. And only use public transportation.
