Joe Biden’s son and his partners received $16.5 million from Burisma — Ukrainian MP

According to the politician, Hunter Biden was paid by laundered money for his services for Ukraine's Burisma Holdings energy company

IEV, November 20. /TASS/. The Ukrainian Office of the Prosecutor General has drawn up an indictment against the owner of the Burisma Holdings energy company, ex-Ecology Minister Nikolai Zlochevsky, that contains information that the son of former US Vice President Joe Biden, Hunter, as a Burisma board member along with his partners received $16.5 million for their services, Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada MP from the ruling Servant of the People party Alexander Dubinsky told a press conference on Wednesday, citing the investigation’s materials. According to him, the money came from duplicitous criminal activity.

"Zlochevsky was charged with this new accusation by the Office of the Prosecutor General but the press ignored it," the MP said. "It was issued on November 14."

According to the politician, "the son of Vice-President Joe Biden was receiving payment for his services, with money raised through criminal means and money laundering." He also clarified that "Biden received money that did not come from the company’s successful operation but rather from money stolen from citizens."

Dubinsky stressed that the information on Hunter Biden’s income under his contract with Burisma is a "link that reveals how money is siphoned [from Ukraine]."

The MP explained that this information makes up a part of a large-scale scheme of Zlochevsky’s money laundering that involved politicians from the time of ex-President Viktor Yanukovich who continued this scheme under another (now former) President Pyotr Poroshenko, with the backing of former Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeria Gontareva.

"We will reveal the information about the financial pyramid scheme that was created in Ukraine and developed by everyone beginning with Yanukovich and later by Poroshenko. This system is still working under the guidance of the current managerial board of the National Bank, ensuring that money flows in the interest of people who stole millions of dollars, took it offshore and bought Ukrainian public bonds turning them into the Ukrainian sovereign debt," Dubinksy claimed. He then added that "in both cases of Yanukovich and Poroshenko, Ms. Gontareva and companies she controls were investing the stolen funds."

Another Verkhovna Rada MP, Andrei Derkach, claimed that the US Franklin Templeton Investments management company was also involved in the scheme. "The investigation suggests that the Yanukovichs illegally obtained $7.4 billion and laundered it through an investment fund close to the US Democratic Party as government domestic loan bonds," he pointed out.

Dubisky stressed that through the implementation of this scheme Ukraine has money siphoned from it with high interest rates — "40% of the state budget is spent on the debt service." "This amount — 440 billion hryvnia [around $18.18 billion — TASS] in the end of 2020 — is the last step towards a default and then Ukraine will go bankrupt either by the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021," he concluded. Biden scandal

Washington was recently rocked by a political scandal surrounding Hunter Biden’s history of working in the Ukrainian company. According to US media outlets, members of the current Trump administration were attempting to dig up dirt on Biden in Ukraine and, therefore, harm Joe Biden’s chances to be nominated as a potential Democrat contender for the 2020 presidential campaign. US Democrats accused Trump of soliciting assistance from Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, urging him to reopen investigations into the Burisma company, and launched an impeachment inquiry against the White House occupant. These developments prompted the White House to publicize the contents of Trump’s talks with Zelensky. It turned out that the US leader did not put forward direct demands, however, the issue itself was mentioned and discussed.

Earlier, former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko announced that Hunter Biden received around $1 million from Burisma.

The total among the players was $17M. Not solely to Hunter Biden. He got $3.7M.

The big picture is that over $6BILLION was laundered thru Ukraine/Burisma and Barack's hands are all over it.

Here's a clip from the Reuters piece:

After he took office in late August, Ryaboshapka launched a wide-ranging audit of criminal cases to see whether they had been conducted properly. Thirteen of them relate to Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky, Ryaboshapka told reporters at a briefing on Wednesday.

Burisma did not respond to a request for comment.

Ryaboshapka’s predecessors oversaw a series of investigations into Zlochevsky, a multimillionaire former minister of ecology and natural resources. The allegations concern tax violations, money-laundering and licences given to Burisma during the period where Zlochevsky was a minister.

Ryaboshapka said Zlochevsky was now suspected of the “theft of government funds on an especially large scale,” but did not provide evidence or details.

Ryaboshapka was speaking after being asked about a document from the general prosecutor’s office that was leaked at a separate press conference by three lawmakers earlier on Wednesday.

The document, only part of which was visible, showed Kulyk suspected Zlochevsky of offenses including using his official position to embezzle 800 million hryvnias ($33 million) of money belonging to the central bank.

The investigation is effectively on hold, however, because the Ukrainian authorities cannot determine Zlochevsky’s whereabouts.

The central bank did not respond to a request for comment.

Giuliani has previously told Reuters he met Kulyk in Paris. He said at that meeting Kulyk echoed allegations that in 2016 Joe Biden as Vice President had tried to have Ukraine’s then-chief prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, fired to stop him investigating Burisma. Biden has accused Giuliani of peddling “false, debunked conspiracy theories” for repeating these allegations.

Kulyk told Reuters in October that he had been investigating Zlochevsky for around two years.

Reuters could not independently verify the extent of Kulyk’s involvement, but a source close to the energy company saw a spike in activity by Kulyk in regards to Burisma after Giuliani’s interest in the company and the Bidens had been conveyed to Kulyk’s then superior, Yuriy Lutsenko.

In late January, Kulyk sent Zlochevsky the first of several summons for questioning, documents seen by Reuters showed.

Zlochevsky has not commented on the summons or an announcement by Ryaboshapka in October that his office was reviewing a series of investigations linked to Zlochevsky.

Maybe Ukraine will indict the Bidens. That would be sweet. Perhaps by treaty Trump may have to honor a request for extradition. That would be sweeter. Biden could then run for President from a jail cell in Ukraine. He’d still get 47% of the vote. I imagine Romney would still vote for Biden.

I’m wondering how many Republicans are doing it. The reason I ask? Not a single indictment...a investigation into any of these people, no warrants, no raids by FBI, etc. Nothing.

Cannot for the life of me figure out why the Republican members of this impeachment committee don’t mention this more often.
To my mind, it would look bad if Trump did NOT investigate Burisma and the Bidens!!

Trump and Barr are over the target. And that rich fraud- and corruption-riden target is Ukraine.

The Ukraine government indicting the Burisma leader is tip of the iceberg.

"The Ukraine government indicting the Burisma leader is tip of the iceberg."

Something that many are missing from this Ukrain indictment of the Burisma founder, is Pres. Trump simply asked the Uraine President on the "infamous" phone call to look into its own corruption. Obviously, a win for Trump!

Romney has ties to Ukraine too. Mitt might not get an absentee ballot sent to the Ukraine at his prison address.

I am sure AG Barr and President Trump will support extradition of the Washington DC/Ukraine swamp rats like Pelosi, Kerry, Biden, Clinton...

The who's who in the DNC. I bet even lowlies like Donna Brazile are having trouble getting a restful night's sleep. I bet even Paul Ryan is seeing things in his sleep as the truth finally sees the light of day.
