Less than a year after having gender surgery, Nathaniel now says, “This whole thing was a bad idea. I am 19 years old, and I feel as though I have ruined my life.”
It’s heartbreaking each time I get a letter from someone who underwent gender-change surgery and regrets it, especially someone as young as Nathaniel.
With his permission, I’m telling a bit of his story to raise awareness of the young lives being ruined by the rush to surgery, and hoping that hearing the testimony of this young man will influence others on this path to slow down and consider the consequences before consenting to surgery.
In Nathaniel’s case, he says he was bullied by the boys in elementary school because he was sensitive and preferred playing girl games. When he was a bit older, he discovered internet pornography, heard about transgenderism, and as he says, “convinced myself that’s what I was.”
When he finally worked up the nerve to tell his mother in the summer after eighth grade, she made an appointment with, in his words, “a doctor at an informed-consent clinic.”
He started seeing the doctor a week after his 15th birthday, and from how he describes the next years of his teens, I’d say going to the clinic didn’t improve his life.
“From then on,” he says, “I slowly detached from everything until I was just staying home, playing video games, and going on the internet all day. I stopped reading, drawing, riding my bicycle. I surrounded myself in an echo chamber that supported and validated my poor decisions, because the others were also, unfortunately, stuck in that pit, too.”

I am not aware of bullying causing gender disphoria.
Generally it causes weapons, and a level of violence escalation that ends badly.
Gender disphoria is generally caused either by having no role models, by having a high level of hate for the parent or guardian of the same sex, or its inculcated by a family that treats a child as being the opposite sex from what they are.
I was informing you that bullying is alive and common today despite media and academic insistence that it is a thing of the past. Not asserting thay being assaulted causes gender disphoria.
I have known a number of people with intersex conditions. Even with people who have a physical ambiguity as to their sex gender disphoria is hardly ubiquitous.
From the article it sounds like this kid’s mother lead him to pretend to have gender disphoria. Instead of like...getting him a big dog that would have bitten any bullies hanging round.

There was a guy that posted on Twitter maybe, but had the “open wound” operation, and said it first smelled like an open wound, but as time went on it smelled like feces, or in his words “poop”. He talked about how maddening it was, pretty much like he could not stand to smell himself, much less someone else who he was trying to be intimate with. And, to top it off, they said it probably would never change. The ultimate bill of goods, he had no idea that was a possibility or probability. Now he is stuck with it, and is disgusted by his own body smell. That is a special kind of hell.
He should have gotten a second opinion.
'Mom' should be jailed.
But; at least she didn't ABORT the guy before birth.
Should be required to be at least 13 before you can agree with 'mom' to be aborted.
While this IS a good sentence; it is not arranged properly:

Any physician who participates in abortions is given a free pass (in THIS world; anyway).
I would add, should be required to be 21 before you can be prescribed “sex change” hormones or other drugs or procedures, as well.
So they can be in theory drafted by the government and shipped off to fight a war, but can’t make medical decisions concerning their own body?

You seemingly have to have the permission of the US Supreme Court and an act of Congress to get an aspirin in school, but you can get both an abortion and a sex change operation without parental consent or even knowledge. How utterly insane this country is!

He was so young when he became confused. Then no one really helped him.
And then the porn made matters worse.
Your forum name adequately describes the state of affairs with how his mom tolerated his delusions with the end result that he has been mutilated.

We all had both back then, and we didn’t lose our effing minds, have mass killings or surgically change our body parts.
